Just for fun list your favorite setting and how did you dial it in? Or if not fav the one youve been digging on lately. ( i say this cuz I luv channel one lots lots)

For me right now its the Supersonic model. Gain at about 7, Volume 9(live(the sounds become so much better when youre pushin the tubes and speaker a bit)) treble 4 bass 5 mid 7 and I turned the second gain knob down to zero. I put an OD pedal in front in fuse at Around medium gain (cant quite remember the specifics...) and It gives me awesome rock sound played through a crappy tele knockoff (if the bad one sounds good the good ones must sound great. Alas). Lots of punch on the power chords, Still enough distinction on the weirder chords to hear all the different strings and notes, and a good solid cutting lead tone. In this setting I play mainly on the bridge pickup(due to the nature of the music I put this setting together for...)

OK SCX2 PEOPLE! WHACHOO B PLAYIN?

I really like the Twin Setting, and channel 1. I fiddled around with Fuse some on the Twin setting (it comes preset with the bright switch engaged and I disengaged it while setting the mids to 5.

I play lost of jam bandy type stuff with very little to no OD most of the time. Using the Twin setting, I have the gain around 5, and the bass around 3. I have a funky cabinet I built with plenty of low end so it really needs to be tamed at the amp.

It's funny, I really like the SS channel on my Mustang III but it's far more flexible so I've been able to tame it quite a bit, not liking it so much on the X2.

That's the nice thing about this amp... lots of choices to find what you like, to each their own!

I was just playing the twin setting earlier today. I havent hooked that one up to fuse yet. Ill habe to take a look at that bright switch. I had the gain up to about 7 and i really was digging that just barely breaking up sound. Im getting some of my stuff out of storage this week and I have a 8 ohm 15 pa speaker with a horn im going to try out for fun. see if anything cool happens. I dont strictly play high gain stuff I love it all. That was one of my reasons I went for this amp. I have three kids so its not really feasable for me to line my house with gear while my kids wear out there shoes :) anyways. Your cab looks cool in your videos. i also like how on the tweed champ setting the speaker almost really does sound like a little 6 inch or something. i dont really care for the compression on everything. I removed that pedal on slot 3. hoping to have some more sample sounds recorded soon.
cheers

I am having a lot of fun with the Supersonic tones. There's a lot to play with on this voice. What I have found though is that there are 2 Gain stages in the Fuse settings for it. When you pull back on the gain settings you can give it some more 'headroom' and have some really great sounding tones that clean up nicely. The cleaner you get it, the more it sounds kind of similar to a Bassman but with a bit more character from your mids.

I hear ya there. So far the supersonic is my go to rock sound. I really liked the champ tone on slot 1 right off the bat. It did a good job of sounding like it was pushing a little 6 inch speaker. dial the mids up a bit and whammo. Im starting to like the deluxe sound from slot 2 now tho. its a little too boomy for me with the stock setup but im starting to tweak it a little and its sounding pretty good. I like how with the gain up the speaker emulation really sounds like speaker distortion. Its that almost "farty" sound for lack of a better word that you hear on live bass amp recordings from the sixties. Im prolly not explaining that very good but owell. I know the vox and marshall sounds are going to come into play for me at sometime but I havent got there yet. I like the sounds tho. soon enuff...

I'm gonna dive in again. I really like the tweed champ tone. Treble around7 and bass around 7 mids tweaked up a bit gain anywhere you want. It's a good sound! I like how on this mode if you close your eyes you can almost hear a smaller speaker. Very believable in my opinion.

Channel 1 with the treble cut and the bass boosted. The volume pulled back on the guitar and the tone knob rolled off a bit.

Got a new one I've been having fun with. I saw the Jesus and Mary chain a few months ago and the guitar player was using this really raunchy fuzz tone through an orange half stack of some kind and this sound is a little like what I have here. This is on channel 2 twin reverb model gain 10 volume 3 treble 5 bass 4 mid 6ish fuzz wah pedal in front from fuze. Gain on fuzz all the way up everything else on pedal all the way up except treb bass level all at high noon. Audio captured by laptop onboard mic.

I'm really enjoying playing with the Twin model with a little reverb, delay, tremlo and some compression.

It makes a nice Jack Johnson sound with my Midtown Custom.

Hard question. For clean sound channel one is so nice and warm. So, I am shocked as to how much I like the Jazzmaster for clean though. Here I have a tube amp and I am loving a solid state setting. Go figure, LOL.

I agree about the jazzmaster voice, it's a very fat tone yet very clean. I think channel one is my favorite though. With a Boss FRV-1 pedal and the amp's reverb combined I get a fantastic surf tone.

At the moment my favorite for playing with a fuzz pedal is Voice 4, the Tweed Bassman. Gain at 3, everything else at 5, through my Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzzface. It's pretty awesome for the dark, heavy psychedelic music I like to play, especially with some reverb and/or delay.

Cool!! I haven't rocked the baseman tones alot yet. I've been having fun with voice 2. I hooked up fuze the other day and made voice 3 the same as voice 2 but with a fuzz pedal added. I ab'd it with my Dunlop classic 108 fuzz till I had a pretty good approximation. I think the fender onboard stompboxes sound good. They just need some dialing in. I'm planning on getting a mustang floor to run into the superchamp for more realtime flexibility. I love having effects but hate all the cords, batteries, adapters, and things. After a while I just want to rip em all out. Then I start wanting effects again and the viscous citcle starts all over. Owell. The pains of being a musician! I'm happy enough with the superchamp onboard effects quality overall so since the mustangs use the tha same sound engine it's should sound great. I also have a tech 21 power engine 60 that I could plug it into in a pinch for additional volume or backup. I'm rambling off topic tho. Danger of writing before my coffee quota has been achieved. I've started to play around with the British models a bit. I haven't found one that's going to be a go to tone yet but I'm not doing anything right now that wants a sound like that. All of us x2 users should have a x2 challenge to spend a Solid block of time on each voice. It's the only way to really find the sweet spots. Ramble ramble. Cheers!

I'm going to try this setup later today with my dunlop fuzz and see wt I get. What kind if guitar are you using?
