Hey hey. I was really excited abou this section opening up. I think the amp is just still too new. Give it time maybe? I plan on gigging with it regularly and reporting on its performances in various environments and settings. I plan on using it in studio this coming fall and will be using it exclusively. I plug it in and practice with it as often as I can (having kids doesn't always make this as frequently as I would like...) but havent really been with it long enough to have much to talk about yet. Custominxng the sounds in fuse is a big part of it all. I just keep playing it and when I find somehng I want to adjust eg wish I had a wet reverb... Fire it up and dial one in. I expect to see alot more discussion as the user base increases
Cheers

I didn't even see that this forum was created until a few days ago.

I've already said in another thread that I think that these amps would sell better if they were more present in stores. I was in 2 guitar centers in the past 2 weeks and didn't see them on the shelf in either store. I really haven't seen that much marketing from Fender or from online stores on this amp either.

When you look on youtube, there is the one Fender made "documentary style" video as well as the German guy at Session Music, but really not a lot of good demo vids. I'd love to see Fender release a really great demo video with someone going through the tones and showing how to edit the amp and use it well. I always love the videos where a good player takes you through some of the possibilities, it helps me be more creative when I see what other folks are doing.

I am having more fun with this amp than with any amp that I have ever owned and I am getting some of the best tones that I have ever created. The versatility of the stack is amazing to me. And the clean channel is unreal. My OCD pedal sounds better through that Channel than through any amp I have ever plugged it into.

Maybe we're all too busy playing our X2's to post :D I have the head and love it... both channel 1 and channel 2 offer up some pretty sweet tones. I've posted some "jam vids" on YouTube using various amp models and guitars but nothing in the way of an in-depth demo.

I have nothing but good things to say about it and it does seem to handle pedals great, as someone else mentioned. WELL worth the meager price tag IMO! Now back to playing...

Thanks... I'm hoping to get some more vids posted soon. I have a bunch of loops on my Boss RC-30 that I have been messing around with but haven't yet recorded for YouTube.

Hi Guys,

Thanks very much for posting your comments and thoughts here regarding the new Fender SuperChamp X2 amps. We are happy to hear that you all are enjoying the amp. They are definitely very cool. This topic is fairly new as is the amp. I think the discussion will expand in time. In the mean time, please let us know if we can assist with anything.

Cheers,

I've been wanting to participate, but this forum wouldn't accept my Fender Community sign in credentials (even though that's what you're instructed to do). To get around the issue, I created a new profile, but even that was an exercise in frustration, as I repeatedly ran smack into numerous 404 page not found errors during the registration process. ONLY through dogged persistance (and luck) was I finally able to register.

That might be a partial explanation for the lack of activity IMHO.

Hi all,

After many years of using the Guitar Rig sim into a clean 20 watt amp to get my sounds I finally ordered a blond X2 last night. It is supposed to hit my door next Wednesday so I will be joining in after that. Darn shame I couldn't find it locally as I have been invited to sit in on a jam session tomorrow night and will not have it yet.

I hope more people get on board with the SCX2. I have the HD/Cab version and am loving it. Why aren't more people on here sharing their settings? Regarding this forum and reported glitches, I noticed that the Fender online product registration has been down for weeks. I emailed to ask them wassup 4 days ago and they replied it would be back up "later today" - so far it hasn't happened. Something's maybe up in their online unit?

I just put an Eminence Red Fang 10" speaker in my SCX2 today. Wow! The transformation is astounding and I still have the stock tubes. The tonal spectrum and 102 dB sensitivity of this speaker have made it a 12" amp. I rolled through the voices of channel two, but with the exception of the 65 Deluxe, they were all nothing compared to the clean channel with this speaker. With the alnico speaker even the Vox voices sound like my clean channel. Right now, I feel like I got the equivalent of a Princeton+/Deluxe- amp for the price of the SCX2, plus the speaker. My cool cat tremelo pedal made my telecaster middle position sound like George Harrison on "I Need You". With a house full of people, cranking it up has not happened yet, but even at low volumes the punchy, clean bass notes and shimmering chimey highs are apparent. The mid is balanced and does not sound scooped.

I heard the Celestion alnicos and they lacked good bottom end for my ear. Eminence Red Fang from Kentucky is an amazing speaker.

If you are intrigued contact Dave at Avatar speakers for the best price.
