I got my Super Champ X2 head and cabinet for Christmas 2016. Everything worked perfectly...everything, including Fuse.
I played that amp almost daily for an entire year, and not once did I have an issue with ANYTHING that amp was designed to do. Not one.
Then Christmas 2017 rolled around, and I asked Santa for a Pro Junior III....well, Santa listened, and I got one.
After I got the Pro Jr., the SCx2 never got touched again. Well not until last night I should say.
See, I've been reading all these horror stories on this forum, as well as the Mustang and Fuse forums...and it got my curiosity up. I thought to myself, let's see what happens. I headed down stairs to the Studio and fired up the laptop I have designated solely to the amp for Fuse.....sure enough (as suspected) the laptop was due for updates to Windows 10 operating system, so I did that.
Then I fired up the amp, let the tubes warm up a bit, and opened up Fuse on the laptop. Fuse IMMEDIATELY recognized my amp. I logged in using my original user name and password...and everything worked properly, including presets.

You heard me...the amp, laptop, and Fuse had not been touched for over 11 months, and I had zero issues. Still have zero issues. Played all night, and again for 2 hours this morning. Love it!

So; I'd like to take this moment to thank all of you for having so many problems with your Modeling Amps, and Fuse software, because it has brought a perfectly fine, fun, and functional amp back into rotation for me. Hope you all work out your issues so you can join me in my joy.

I think the concern is that they still sell them new, with a Fuse feature set, but haven't updated the amp physically or the software for years. With the GT100, a lot of us are worried that we have amps with a 5 yr warranty that, if they die, what does that do for us? At some point they are going to have to dump Fuse because Windows will get to a point where it no longer works. We spend 350-500 on a amp with a feature set as its main selling point that has basically been abandoned by Fender. I would LOVE it if they even just released an updated version of the amp itself with the modeling capability of the GT100- then I can have my tubes AND the ability to change and edit tones on the fly from the amp with no software necessary and no need to keep a piece of software around that eventually will stop working. Microsoft doesn't even support silverlight anymore and thats the main program environment that FUSE runs in. I don't even need the bluetooth/wifi stuff built in. Just give me an LCD with the modeling capability of my GT100 and maybe a MID knob (software or physical) and id be golden.
