Hi

My Superchamp x2 was running on the clean channel for about half an hour. Volume at 4. Couple of pedals in front of it. Nothing that should have taxed it. There was a pop and a faint smell of burning. Now it doesn't make any sound.

The lights still come on, the power light and the lights to indicate which channel you're using, if I take a lead out of the line out I get sound from both channels and the effects and amp modelling all works. All three tubes are glowing. The speaker is just making no sound at all.

Any clues?

Is it possible I've blown the fuse? Would it still switch on with a blown fuse?

I'm at a loss. I don't have a spare speaker to test with or spare tubes. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Grant

The glow in the tubes is the last to go. But tube failure would not make a burnt smell.
The two large power supply dropping resistors may have burnt out. R79, 1K 2watt and R47 10k 2watt are likely suspects. They may have been taken down by a shorted power supply capacitor or something. Good luck
