Never could figure out (other than boredom) why anyone would want to take a perfectly good amp, and modify it's "innards" to turn it into a product that already exists without said modification.
As it already has been said (even doing it yourself), the modification (plus the cost of the amp) could end up costing more than buying an amp that has what you seek. If you want a "tube amp", should have bought a "tube amp"....you didn't....you bought a Super Champ X2.

If you browsed through the forum you will see some of us suffered from the volume jumping issue.

I am one of the victims suffering from this inherited problem with no cure

I believe it should be the bugs in the ic.

Personnal i will be very happy to see someone proving us to modify the solid state front and bypass the problematic part. The tube and speaker are fine.
