Hi,
Some help if possible. When I load up a modulation effect (post and pre amp), the settings don't save correctly as I have set them and they don't download to the amp either. Tried updating firmware, PC and Mac etc etc.
Help appreciated.
Mike.

You can save modulation, reverb and delay on FX settings knob, not on amp patch. I don't have the amp around now but I think the button says 'save effects ' or something similar.

But you will overwrite one of the existing effect settings so choose a slot you don't use much.

Yes - I know how to download the settings.
My actual problem is retaining the settings for each effect. Any adjustments don't retain.

Not sure if this is the problem, but remember, on the SCX2, if there's a physical knob on the amp, its setting will take precedence over the Fuse setting. The F/X Adjust knob defaults to controlling the level of the effect (it can be changed to control something else). When you select an effect, the level will be whatever the knob is currently set to, not what it was when you saved the effect.

I have had the same problem trying to save stuff. So you are saying pd you cannot change an amp setting to have an effect? And if you add an effect the knob to change modulation ect will not work on your change?

I don't know if you've looked through the SCX2 User Manual and the Fuse for SC User Manual, I've read that they don't show up on the website anymore. Anyway, I'll try to summarize the operation.

Channel 1 - fixed amp type of blackface Fender. With Fuse, you can change and save the setting for MID, everything else is changed on the amp.

Channel 2 - sixteen selectable and programmable Voice slots. With Fuse, you can select an amp type, speaker cabinet sim, etc. and a stomp box. This can be saved in one of the sixteen slots. Gain, volume, etc. are set by the amp knobs.
* Note that the Bass and Tremble knobs apply to both Chan 1 and Chan 2. Each channel has it's own volume knob.

FX - fifteen selectable and programmable effects slots, plus off (making sixteen total FX slots). These are programmed, in Fuse, with a combination of Modulation, Delay and Reverb and saved to one of the FX slots.

Any FX can be used with any Chan 2 amp Voice or with channel 1. Note that the stomp box is saved with the amp voice, not as an effect. If you have the foot switch, you can use it to switch between Chan 1 and Chan 2, and turn the FX on and off.

I found the manuals, Fender really hid them on the website. Go to Fender Product Support, under Digital Support select Fender Fuse. Scan through the list of questions for "Where can I find the manual for SCX2". This will show you links for both the amp manual and Fuse for SCX2 manual. Both links worked.

Thanks PD I contacted Fender they said they are having software issues. Odd I downloaded fuse to my Windows 10 box but it wouldn't download to my Windows 7 laptop. Anyway Fender admitted they are having issues and are supposed to get back to me. I have the fuse manual downloaded will have to try again. All I want to do is add a phaser some where and turn down the mid knob.

I am not computer illiterate, but this fuse software could be a bit more user friendly. I find in all software the developers think we all should understand what they are saying when in some instances it is clear as mud.

Are you having trouble loading and starting the Fuse program, how to make it run, not connecting to the amp, or finding your way around the program? I'm running it on a Mac, so I won't be much help with Windows issues. There are members here that can help get it sorted out, but you might have to post in the Fuse section of the forum to get their attention, depending what your issue is.

I have it loaded PD and can get into it with my Windows 10 box. I can add a phaser pedal to the amp and it works while hooked up to the computer. I can set the mids online too. I must not be doing something right to save the settings as when I disconnect the amp it does not save them. You obviously should be able to save a pedal pre and post rack mount effect to an amp setting or why would they show that? Or is that just for recording online? Or is effects the only place you can save an effect? And if so I evidently don't know how to do it.

Do you click the save Button? It'll ask you in which slot you want to save the current setting. Take care that Only stomp box and amp setting will be save not the post amp fx.

I can show the phase pedal in the slots on the lower left side of the panel. Say with the Twin Reverb amp. Click on save. Now if I back out of that and go back in the pedal should show correct? It does not and no phase comes on either.

Remeber that your save is made in a number slot. You have to navigate to taht slot to find your setting.
So if you 're on slot 1, add a stompbox and save on slot 2 , if you navigate somewhere else when you'll come back to slot 1 it'll be revert to his settings before your modification as your modification is on slot 2
