Hi, I've just bought a basswood guitar body, and I want to paint it cherry red with a matte finish, how would I do this and what type of paint would I need? I was going to sand prime it before I paint it.I also want a matte finish type of paint.

Thanks

Any kind of matte paint from the Home Depot or other paint store will work. Then go over it with a fine plastic wool after it dries if it has too much shine.
