Would the SC head and 112 cab be as versatile as an SCX2 combo with an additional 112 cab? I'm not well versed in the amp world. I'm talking about for home use and jam with a couple of friends once in a while. Thanks

man I just got the SuperChamp x2 and I send the out right into my powered mixer. It's enough to piss the neighbors off and sound is just awesome. I was low on budget but was determined to find a better, different sound and with a line out so I could boost it And I'm telling you I hit the Jackpot man. For the money you cNt beat it. Oh I do run through a DigiTech RP500 before the amp. Incredible

Not sure what you mean by more versatile. The X2 combo only has one speaker jack on the back, for either the internal speaker or an external speaker. And if your going to connect multiple speakers, you need to keep the load at 8 ohms.

I would say that is perfectly fine...since the 8ohm "Speaker Out" jack is running the internal speaker (at 8ohms), and the "Line Out" is running to a self powered source. The mixer is running it's own power...just getting "sound" from the out-put...not depleting power from the internal speaker. I'm no pro...but I've never wrecked anything running an out line through a self powered source.
