Curious if anyone has had issues with speaker vibration on this amp. I keep hearing a vibration specifically when the low E string is played or power chords. At first I though something was loose but I checked the whole amp. After some diagnosis, I came to the conclusion it had to be the speaker. I had my wife place her hand on the back of the speaker and the vibration instantly went away. Curious if it is a bad speaker? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It could be the cab vibration and the hand on speaker stop vibration. With screws in, speaker and cabinet are one part.

Remove all the back panels if you can and test. I did not look at a back of SC.

Be sure all the screws are tight - the ones holding the speaker to the baffle and anything holding the baffle to the cabinet. I've read about people putting shims around the edge of the baffle to make it more solid and eliminate rattles and buzzing. The cabinet on these amps could (should) be a lot sturdier.

To tighten screw, use your head more than you arm.

"To tighten screw, use your head more than you arm."

Be carefully, like he said. If you strip the screws, you'll end up with a big mess.

I have checked all the screws in the cabinet, screws that hold the speaker. and everywhere else. I almost think it is the speaker itself due to when a hand is placed on the back of the speaker near the magnet it stops. I only get this buzzing or vibration when I use the low E string, A string or power chords. I rolled my bass all the way off to see if it that helped. Although the vibration lessens, its still there. Also it doesn't matter what amp setting I use. It is still under warranty so I suppose I'm going to have to get it looked at by a fender service center.

Return on warranty, come to report.
