I'm assuming you downloaded the latest Fuse from the Fender site and have installed Silverlight, I think it downloads with Fuse, or asks to be installed. You need Silverlight installed. With the amp turned off, open Fuse and let it boot up fully, then turn the amp on. Sometimes Fuse won't connect if the amp is already on when it boots. I run Fuse on a MacBook and have never had any problems.

It's third party software that Fuse uses. I thought it loaded automatically when you loaded Fuse. You might search this SCX2 forum for older posts about it.

It should throw an error message if it's not there. If Fuse boots up, maybe that's not the issue. You mentioned using an "Apple USB" cable. Not sure there's any difference, but do you have a standard USB cable you could try? I've heard of USB cables for charging only, that don't have the data pins connected.

Glad that fixed it! Now, what can you do with the computer? A lot. You can select different amp models, add stomp box effects. Click on "advanced amp", and you can choose different speaker cabinet emulations. On the effects side, there's reverbs, delays, phasers, and dozens of other effects. Find the the user's manual for Fuse for Super Champ. It will show you how to start playing with the various settings. Once you have some amp voices and effects you like, you can save them to the amp, so you don't need to connect to the computer all the time.

By the way, is that Rochester, NY? That's my old stomping ground.

haha Rochester is my alter ego comma and he is African American. I was only able to play with it a brief few minutes before leaving to attend a private prior engagement. You say I have access to other sounds from online without having to download anything? That's what I was hoping for I hope to open it and have many many sounds to choose from without having to do any more check work on my computer which I am not good at the sales are already at my fingertips or do I have to download more?
