Has anybody tried this pickup in his strat? I am planning to install this one on my mexican strat, but wanted your feedback as to how the sound will change.
I am looking for more drive and punch than that of my texas special bridge pickup.

The DiMarzio Vintage Heavy Blues 2 PU will be about the same but with better string balance. You will have an advantage with the DiMarzio as it is humbucking. You will be able to reset your amp to get the added punch and drive you require without all the noise the Texas Specials would make.
