Hello forum-ers!

So, I recently installed an American Standard Strat tremolo bridge (purchased N.O.S. (New Old Stock) from eBay), into a 2013 American Standard Strat and after installation I noticed there is a hole or gap between the pickguard and tremolo arm hole where the bridge should cover over but seems that the bridge isn't big enough to fully cover the hole or maybe the hole was routed to fit a bigger bridge. I've attached a dropbox picture link below to reference what I am trying (my hardest) to explain. Can this be fixed or do I need to purchased a different style bridge? Appreciate any advice on the subject!
