Hey guys. I have a "friend" who wants to play Aqualung. He has a Fender electric and an Ibanez acoustic/elec. He wants to play both the beginning of the song which is an elec. and the acoustic part when that starts.

One idea using the one button foot switch.
A preset for the beginning when playing the electric and then switching to a preset which could make the electric guitar sound more like an acoustic. I don't have the footswitch yet. My understanding is you can set it up to switch between two previously selected presets. Is the switch limited to particular presets or can you pick any one? I notice a light comes on beside the footswitch input on some presets.

Alternate idea.

Playing the acoustic using a preset that makes it sound like an electric then switching presets when the acoustic part is played.

I'm not looking for a perfect acoustic sound from the Mustang I. Just something that sounds ok. I've already played it and using a clean sound with a little reverb sounds ok. Anyway are there any presets you guys know about on the site that have been created to make electrics sound acoustic and vice versa? I'm playing with the settings myself but I don't have much experience with this stuff. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Jack

I can see if I can upload one of mine; it's titled Acoustic Bassman, and it may show a different author because I based it off of someone else's acoustic rig, but it's the most comparable acoustic sound I've found yet. (Add your own reverb to suit your own tastes; I make all my presets vanilla and occasionally with a stomp box for the tone.)

UPDATE: it is uploaded now. I used a 65 Twin Reverb and used the Bassman cabinet simulation; you can play around with the settings to match your taste.
