I recently re-visited my fender mustang floor pedal. I was not happy with the direct tone in church. It was just too thin and brittle no matter what amp I used. One fast call to Sweetwater Music, and my tech, Kurt tells me that Hughes and Kettner Redbox 5 is a must for any Multi-Effects amp simulator when running direct for real, albeit amazing tones! I ordered it! Drumroll please!!! Voila, everything Ive been looking for for live direct tone! I even A'B'd my tones against my two very expensive Tube Amps when mic'd and the sound guy said the fender Mustang Floor tones were hands down a million times better! The exciting part is it all fits in one little bag, and when I travel, this fat stack tone is with me always! If anyone has the musfloor, trust me and get a Redbox 5. I can share my settings and tones if necessary. Ive had every multi-effects unit and amp sim on the market, and played every amp imaginable. I love these tones more than any Ive ever built. Finally! Cheers!

Okay, so I will bite because I am tired of being a Roadie and doing all the work. I wanna play!

I assume you know about the settings on the Floor for instance Stereo and PA. Duh, rhetorical question and no need to respond. Anyway I love using the two XLR outputs from the Floor into two channels of the mixer usually panned hard left and right. Sounds fantastic over here but I am a quintessential tweaker and I am not talking about methamphetamine here. I have got some tube amps to sell but I am not supposed to say that because I got into trouble with the moderators once. Am I going to sell my Mustang Floor and Mustang amp? Forgetaboutit.

Wild horses couldn't drag them away.

I guess I'm a little skeptical ($100 is $100!), but I find that the line out from my MIII is kind of too clean and digital sounding as-is. It was my understanding that Fender already attempted to model the speaker/cabinet for the line out. How about a A/B comparison to post somewhere. If I got to choose, I'd want to hear a clean '65 Twin recorded straight out of the amp and with the Red Box. Thanks!

^ That would be a good comparison. I have a Logidy Espi cabinet simulator. I've never tried it with the Mustang III v2 line outs, thinking that there's already a cab emulator in play there.
