Post subject: How about a Pink Floyd-inspired Mustang III recording?

On this song, I was messing around with the new EHX Key 9 pedal with my Strat. This pedal lets you use your guitar to emulate various keyboards (pretty convincingly, I might add). It's no substitute for the real thing, but it works in a pinch if you just need some staccato keyboard notes. Of course, you can't do long sustained keyboard notes. I tried it with an EBow and it didn't help, LOL. So don't fire your keyboard player, yet!

For the lead guitar track, I used a Brit '80s amp model with overdrive, sine flange, mono delay and large hall reverb. I used a Les Paul for that track. The bass was a Rickenbacker 4003 through a Zoom B3 pedal. Drum track was created with a BeatBuddy pedal.

That worked out well, sounds good. I've never heard the keyboard emulator before
