REMUDA Version 1.4.2 is now available in both the Full and Lite Versions.

This release brings EXP-1 Expression and Volume Pedal support for Mustang III/IV/V and Mustang Floor, and preliminary support for the Mustang Floor. Also new are Plus/Minus buttons to parameter edit controls for fine adjustments; a simple Help Screen for getting started; support for External Storage permissions required on Android 6.x; Amp Firmware info reported in the App's settings screen; and, several User Interface improvements

Make sure you confirm that the USB OTG adapter you get works! This is easily done by connecting a USB thumb drive, keyboard, etc. to your android device, or simply by trying the FREE REMUDA Lite version first. The OTG USB adapters I got from Fry's Electronics are generics. They cost about $4 or $5 each. They work great! I also use a 10' USB extension cable, so I have extra reach from the Amp. My Wiring goes: Amp USB jack -> Fender Supplied 6' USB cable -> 10' USB Extension cable -> OTG USB Adapter -> Android device.

Just last week another user bought two (2) OTG adapters. Both turned out to be flawed! Once he got a known good OTG USB adapter all the problems abated.

I often hook up my wireless keyboard to my android phone to type letters and long emails out on the road using my ColorNote App. Really cool.

Haven't tried Remuda but will someday especially if I get a tablet. Isn't an Android phone a bit small for such an app?

Fry's Electronics, they have one of those up here in Oregon. You can find some really great cheap deals especially on accessories like OTG, HDMI cables and what have you.

Several months ago, REMUDA's Developer reworked the UI improving it for use on Smartphones. REMUDA is fully usable on compatible Smartphones. On my Smasung S4 Active, due to its smaller screen size, I do rotate the device more frequently to optimize the display of certain dialogs than either of my tablets (8.4" and 12.2" Samsung Galaxy TabPros). Nonetheless, everythung is there and everything works!
If you have your OS Font Size set to Large or Huge that will affect the layout somewhat. The easiest thing to do is try the Free Lite version and see how it plays on your device.

Fry's is a terrific local resource, but can be a very expensive visit. Easy to spend lots of time and money there! Particularly, as they match Internet prices.

Best Buy will match prices too. Just bring your phone in and show them the competitors price. I do it all of the time.

Hi!
I've got a question about Remuda. Would it be possible to load a new present downloaded directly from the fuse.center.com into the amp?

No. You would need to use FUSE. Remuda has nothing to do with the Fender Fuse Community. After you have downloaded and installed the Presets to your amp, Remuda will give you functionality FUSE lacks.

It would be great if Remuda were capable of handling and reading Preset files obtained from the Fuse site. If it were able to do so, we could simply use windows or mac Fuse to download the desired preset files and then email them as file attachments to Remuda on an Android device.

Remuda works with the Presets it reads from the amp or from a Remuda generated backup, in both instances, this is an aggregate process regarding all the amps or backup file's presets. Remuda does not currently provide any individual or selected saving or backing up of such one or several seleted presets. The capability to edit, manage, backup and handle one or a selected number of Presets offline as well as a larger library of presets than the amp can handle at any one time has been suggested to Remuda's developer and may or may not be a feature enhancement.

Thank you for your quick reply.

I fully understand what you're saying, but from my point of view this is a downer. This is because I keep my amp at a "tiny" shared rehearsal room where there is no space for me to plug a laptop. Thus, Remuda seemed like an excellent alternative.

Well, I hope the developer will include the Fuse preset capabilities in future versions.

I agree that your suggestion would be helpful for Remuda and Fuse Users.

I too rarely use FUSE with my Mustang's connected as my Desktop PC is in another room and when connected to the amp it involves a long 32' Active USB repeater cable. Not the ideal situation.

Bear in mind that FUSE requires Flash and Android does not support Flash!

Thus, the best that Remuda could do would be to read and import FUSE Preset files that a Fuse user downloaded and saved to their computer hard drive and subsequently transferred to their Android device. Remuda would need to read, open, and import the preset files, and also be enhanced to provide proper handling of these Preset files to add or overwrite them to your existing presets. The file transfer may be best accomplished by simply attaching such Fuse preset files to an email sent from your computer to your Android device. A Remuda user could the saving the attachments to a directory on their Android device for Remuda to read. Remuda would need to be enhanced to be able to handle a Preset from an origin other than it reading it from your amp or restoring all the presets from a Remuda generated backup file (that also originated from Remuda reading all the presets from your amp).

I have forwarded your feature suggestion to Remuda's developer with both of our encouragements to consider supporting the capabilities.

MusicLaw, you're starting to sound like you are the developer of Remuda covertly selling the app you created here on the Fender forums.

But yeah, seriously.

Last I checked, it required both SilverLight and Flash Player - at least if you need to log in to FUSE com and upload/download settings or tracks.
