Fuse does not provide any way to generate a printout of a Preset and all its parameter values!

You may print a ScreenCapture of the way FUSE displays a Preset on your monitor. Alternatively, via your OS, File Manager, or Text Editor of choice, you may print an actual Presst .XML file.

For most of my "music life" I've played accoustic. And I focused mainly on stuff I could play and sing by myself and it would sound ok. So for me that meant mostly softer rock. Right now I have a 30 watt accoustic amp with a mic input and reverb. Now I'm wondering if the Mustang and the effects with it would work with an accoustic. Actually I know it will work. For my needs anyway. I want to focus on playing rock right now because I never have before. I have always loved rock but when I'd be alone with my guitar I always seemed to go with either some very basic finger style or picking with some pretty thorough chord knowledge. Dan Fogleburg, Jackson Brown, Some Eagles, Seals & Croft, stuff like that. I've never been and exceptional guitarist but I have enjoyed it as much or more than anything else I've done. Anyway, has anyone used the Mustang's for accoustic/electric guitar? I haven't yet but I'll be digging mine out very soon.

A week or two ago I decided it was time for me to start playing guitar again. So I got an electric and the Mustang. It seems like I've spent as much time learning the amp and presets as I have playing. I think I've got a pretty good handle on the preset features. Whatever I still don't know I'll learn in time as the need arises. But mainly, it's time to play with the guitar, not the electronics. It's nice to know the features are there though. And I don't have pedals and cables all over the floor. :)

Hi Jack,

about this: Now I'm wondering if the Mustang and the effects with it would work with an acoustic.

The mustang is not voiced properly for an acoustic.

it will work, yes, but your acoustic amp, which is mostly likely configured with some sort of two way, or three way speaker setup, will more accurately amplify the acoustic as well as most like have some sort of feedback filter to help with the various feed back problems that come about when amplifying an acoustic.

so the short answer is:
it's going to work, but you may not really like what you are hearing.

there is a bit of a learning curve, for both the change to electric and getting around the mustang's firmware and interfaces.

but you're on the right track now, you've got enough knowledge now to be dangerous, so now you can concentrate on playing instead of working thru the gear setups.

I'm sure you are right. I have wondered what the difference is in an electric amp and an accoustic amp. The sound is one obvious consideration to maintain the characteristics of each. But the feed back is one thing I had forgotten about. I have one of the feedback busters that fit in the hole. That helped a lot but not completely. I remember not wanting to get too close to the amp and definately not in front of a speaker. So if I do start playing both I'll build a wooden stand for one to sit on top of the other. Maybe an area for picks and capos and stuff. Now that I'm thinking of it maybe a section beside it that would hold two guitar stands for the guitars. While I'm at it maybe I should build a new room on the house. :) That gives me a woodworking project which I also enjoy. :) I'm retired now so I have more time for stuff like this.

I think I've mentioned I haven't even picked up a guitar in at least 5 years. Maybe closer to 10. I've very surprised but also very happy how quickly my fingers are waking up. My voice is also VERY rusty. I sound like two cats fighting. Maybe that will come around also. It's REALLY bad right now. I have a feeling my vocal cords have seen there best days and I need to keep my mouth shut when playing. :)

Hi Jack

I guess you'll have to take the voice one day at a time. but keep at it, it's really an instrument just like a guitar, you need to exercise it, and practice as much as you can. I've been at this for about 50 years now, the voice is the one thing that without a lot of work, can get out of shape real fast.

About the Mustang for amplifying , if you feel you really want to explore this, something like a Boss CE7 EQ might help you round out the tones if you are going to use the Mustang.

I guess I'm just more inclined to run my acoustics straight into a sound board, or, to some DI device that is made for Acoustic Guitars then to the sound board.

I don't use much more than a little bit of plate reverb on my acoustic setup, so the added FX, for me, is a moot point over all.

hey what ever makes ya happy is what works for you. Music should be all about reducing stress, not generating it. Everyone will have their own happy place.
