I'm officially confused. I used my Android phone to install the Remuda. I looked and couldn't find it anywhere. I checked my bank and of course the money was taken. Then I looked again at the open window on my pc. I saw a statement that this app was compatible with some of my devices. I have a Samsung phone and a Samsung tablet, both android. I looked on my tablet and there it was. I connected it to my amp and BAM, it displayed a list of my presets. I was able to change which preset I was using by changing it on the tablet. So, for now it looks like it works. This is cool. I now have a feature I don't need and will probably not use much once I get presets configured like I want them as another member mentioned. :) Still, I have it if I need it. If I leave the house to play all I need to do is take my tablet to have the FUSE features. I don't need to pack up my whole pc. :) What confused me was how it automatically installed it on my tablet when I placed the order using my phone. Does the whole world know how many android devices I have? Or is it just Google. :) Does the FBI have this info? Makes ya think huh! :) Anyway, if anyone wants to install it on one of your devices check to see about which ones are compatible. What's strange is my phone is newer by at least two years than the tablet. Maybe there isn't a version for the newer versions of Android. The ver. on my phone is 5.? Don't know what's on my tablet. Just to see if it was on the tablet I had to borrow it from my grandson. When he leaves I'll play with it some more. But it looks good so far.

Ok, this looks really cool! Even though I don't know why I would really ever use it with my MIII v2, but for a total of only $12, it seems like a bargain! Screen shots look perfectly good to me!

The app on my tablet seems to be ok. It doesn't look anything like FUSE so if you want to use both you'll need to make at least one mental change. On FUSE you have A-G then the #. on the app AMBER A starts labeled as 00. Then it goes to 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08 thru 24. Or is it 23? But GREEN A is number 08 on the app. At first I thought it would be 09 but the musical alphabet only goes to G and then the # in the FUSE software. I don't know if there are any other significant mental changes are needed. If I weren't going to be playing only in my home I'd only use what I would use on the tablet. THat way I'd be more familiar with it. The important thing is that I guess there is an alternative to FUSE which will only run on a PC or MAC as I understand it. Maybe Fender is working on this. The way things are going, pretty soon we won't have devices as large as a PC. Everything will be pocket sized. Sounds sort of sad sort of. Fender as I see them are all about sound. Now they need to get into the communications field as well. Times are a changin.

The app is definately not as "pretty" as FUSE. It reminds me of an old MS-DOS application compared to the icons that Apple and Microsoft came up with. Still, if it works who cares about the look of it?

When I first started the Remuda I saw the presets I had configured with FUSE. Using Remuda I edited one of them and then connected back to the pc and the changes were also read by FUSE. So that's good.

Hi Jack.

10x for being our "test bunny". Yours feedback is great news.
Is app using fix "orientation", or you can rotate android device?

Please keep us informed with yours discoverys on app in future.

10x again.

I don't know what you mean by the orientation. I have seen I can configure a lot of the sub-configurations that are available in FUSE. This is with only about 10 minutes of messing with it. Also, I still don't have a complete grasp of what FUSE is capable of. Seems every time I play with FUSE I find another feature that can be modified or tweaked. I mentioned above the app looks like an old MS-DOS application and FUSE looks like what you would expect on a computer these days. I'd guess at least half the people here haven't even seen a DOS application. I learned and worked on computer systems since the early 90s and saw the change from the DOS operating system and Win 3.1 to the Windows 95 operating system and the others over the years. But the Remuda app has the old, not many colors, look. But it seems to work so far and it's nice to have that if I were to ever need or want it. I'll play with it some and let you know what I think. But not having the prior experience with any of this stuff I may not know what to look for that would help people who actually use this stuff more.

Anyone have questions please ask. Maybe I'll understand what you are looking for. The biggest issue I think is having a device that is compatible with the Remuda. My tablet is compatible and is about 3 years old I think. My phone is about 6 months old and isn't compatible evidently. My tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and my phone is a Samsung Core Prime if that helps anyone.

Hi Jack.

10x for replay... Compatibility is not my concern. I have tegra-4 tablet 10.1" nat. resolution 2560x1600..
I use 95% my tablet oriented in "landscape". Many phone or 7" tablet app use fix "portal" orientation.
So my question is about orientation (fix.-no rotation..or can i rotate my tablet and app will folow?)

Lenny
ps. I have invited author of app to join this forum. I hope hi will.

UPDATE
You guys may want to wait to get the Remuda app. At the moment I don't see my presets.

A few minutes ago I connected my tablet and could see all my presets. But with the amp using a # to identify one preset and Remuda using 00 as the first preset it's a bit confusing to keep them straight in my head. So I tried relabeling all my green presets to start with a Gr-A, B, etc. That way they would have the amp's preset location and I wouldn't need to translate one using 01, 02, etc and the other using a color and letter. So I connected the amp to the pc and created a backup. Then I relabeled all the green presets. Then I connected the tablet using Remuda and none of my presets are there. THere is only one labeled 00 and no name that I created. So what I'm seeing right now is a huge problem. It might be something I didn't do right or it may be a compatibility issue. Don't know yet. The app may work fine if you only use the app and don't do editing between the two. I don't know.

But you may want to wait to buy whatever you need to use Remuda. What you would need is a compatible device and a way to connect the USB cable. Samsung has an adapter with a regular USB connector on one end and the micro USB on the other.

I played with Remuda for a couple of minutes this morning. It was working fine. I was able to edit a few presets. One thing though is I didn't see a volume on my tablet. It has levels for the effects but I don't see a volume. I probably just missed it. I doubt if they would have the rest working and just left out a volume control.

In FUSE you can watch the knobs turn on the monitor when I turn them on the amp. But when I turn them on the computer the knobs on my amp don't move. :) I guess there would need to be a series of pulleys inside the amp. Does anyone besides me think I'm getting too picky?! :)

Forerunner to Mustang did that - cost 4 times as much !
Like motorised faders on a mixing desk - great but pricy.

The REMUDA Android App for the Fender Mustang Amps has just been revised to version 1.3. This latest version now supports the Mustang vers. 1 Amps, and brings new and improved features to the User Interface and Performance Mode! REMUDA LITE is now available FREE. This is identical to the fully featured version 1.3 except that it is limited to Eight (8) Presets.

REMUDA Version 1.4 was just released, in both, the Full, and, (Free) Lite versions!

Backup & Restore is the significant new feature! Version 1.4 also improves and expands support for Android devices that previously had problems connecting to the Mustang Amp.

All Amp Presets, and Performance Mode data (Set Lists, Songs, and Presets associated per Song) are now easy to Backup & Restore from the Settings screen! Data is saved to a small local backup file on your Android Device. Backup file(s) may then be transfered to your other Android Devices, other Mustang Amps, shared and exchanged with Friends, or simply used to expand your master library of Presets, and Performance Mode data.

Prior to REMUDA Version 1.4, it would stop when my Samsung Galaxy TabPro 12.2 was connected to the Amp. Now REMUDA runs flawlessly and looks phenomenal on the large screen! REMUDA works great on all Three (3) of my Android devices: Samsung Galaxy S4 Active Smartphone, and Samsung Galaxy TabPro 8.4" and 12.2" Tablets. Best of all, all Presets are now easy to Backup & Restore! And, syncronizing the data amongst all my Android Devices and to both of my Mustang Amps is easy!
