How can they regulate the AC Line?
Many UPS provide buffered, clean, stabilized power both from their main and battery backed up outputs. You need to check the unit's features & specifications to see what it is designed to do. Some entry level models do not do this!

Yes mine do the buffering thingy. Two Tripp Lites and a really heavy monster rack mountable Cyber Power. All of them are needing battery replacements soon. Ugh! Really expensive batteries. I will have to pony up.

I've replaced the batteries in my several APC, CyberPower, and Tripp-Lites several times over the years and have always manged to find relatively reasonable prices online!

Difficult to tell if that sound sample is solely AC Line Noise or a combination with Radio Frequency Interference (RFI).

Here are a few things you can try....

At the Circuit Breaker/Fuse Panel, shut off the other circuits in your home, leaving the circuit with the Amp energized. If you shut off all the other circuits and re-engage them one at a time, you may discover if one particular circuit is causing the problem. Then the focus would shift to items on that individual circuit. If you perform the process with one circuit at a time while leaving all the other circuits energized the hunt may be a bit more difficult, especially if more than one circuit is contributing to the problem.

I didn't need to turn them back on one circuit at a time. I turned off every circuit in the house except the one for my office where the amp is. With all the other circuits off it was every bit as noisy.

I guess going to see it I can find an AM radio! :x

What, if anything, aside from the Amp, is on the office circuit? Also check the breaker itself! Toggle it a few times.

When I plug my Mustang Floor into my Blues, Jr. 3, I get horrible noise. Since I'm going into my amp I don't have an amp selected in my Floor. I just have a stompbox, a Sine Chorus and a Delay.

I don't get the noise if I use the amp separately or the Floor using headphones. Just the two together. Should I put them on a separate circuit?

It isn't so bad that it's unusable. Not much more than I've heard with musicians on stage. Just annoying.
Rereading your original post with the additional info you have posted during this thread, it is almost assuredly a ground loop btwn the two units when audio interconnected, and on the same AC circuit. If you have not already done so, try different AC Instrument power Cords to the units. These are the Cords that plug directly into the Recessed Female 3 conductor jack. If one of the existing cables is not providing a true ground, this could be one reason for ground loop when you audio connect the Floor to the Blues Jr.

If this doesn't correct it, then the grounding inside the Floor is the next suspect.

And how do I go about resolving that? Take it to some electronics shop?

If you do not feel proficient opening the unit and testing its internal grounding of the chasis, power supply and jacks, it is best advised that you leave this to someone that is.

Sorry about the delayed response. Some health issues had me in the hospital and then home in bed. Haven't practiced much!! :x

Glad to hear that you're back on your feet!

You should probably contact a local amp service tech for them to troubleshoot the problem. If your gear is still under warranty, Fender has numerous authorized repair facilities listed on the website. If your gear is no longer under warranty, any good amp repair tech could easily determine what is wrong. Hopefully it is nothing more than correcting what might be mere cold solder joints in the gear affecting the internal grounds and contributing to ground loops. This presumes you have ruled out external sources in your home wiring, etc.

With all the recent discussion about power line noise and interference, today B&H Photo Video has the APC C25B Power Conditioner Unit on Sale for $19.95. These typically go for much more. If you can use one this is a very solid and feature rich unit. I just ordered two (that's the max). See: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1192472-REG/apc_c25b_10_outlet_power_saving_surge.html

Crap. And I didn't see this until now. It's back up to 59.95 and they're out of stock. :x I put in for notification when they're back in stock.

Also keep an eye on Amazon, as they too had it for $19.95 yesterday for several hours before that deal disappeared.
