The EXP-1 Expression Pedal's Green (Volume Mode) LED is very Dim! It is much fainter than the 4 btn fsw's Green LEDs (Mode 2 and Center In Tune). The 4btn fsw that came with the Mustang IV and another I added to have the fsw Tuner feature with my Mustang III, both have very bright LEDs all easily legible indoors during daylight hours. The EXP-1's Green LED is barely discernable even when viewing/standing directly above the unit. The EXP-1's Red LED is fine and glows brightly when the Pedal is in Expression Mode.

I ordered the EXP-1 sight unseen from Guitar Center as their nearby stores do not stock the unit. As such, doing a quick in store EXP-1 Green LED comparison is not feasible. Although the unit otherwise works fine, I'll need to get a replacement unit.

If you have an EXP-1, I invite your reply regarding the intensity of the Green LED of your EXP-1, relative to its Red LED. If you also have the 4btn fsw, please comment regarding the relative brightness of its Green LEDs as compared to the EXP-1's Green LED.

Thanks to all who reply.

Mine is plenty bright. Your description tells me there a issue with it. I would suggest a warranty return but if not call fender and ask for the specs and get one with the same spec. They likely won't sell that part because usually on things like this the pedal is just replaced. But it's worth a try if for some reason you can't warranty it. also consider re-flowing the LED's solder joints. Could be a bad joint.

Thanks for your input on this.

Rec'd a new replacement EXP-1 pedal from Guitar Center. It has the same dim Green LED issue.
Regardless if compared to its own (also frosted) Red LED, or, to the clear lense Green LEDs of the 4btn fsw, both EXP-1 pedals I received have dim Green LEDs. These units are from the same Serial Number Batch Lot, differing by less than 200 units.
As I posted previously in this thread, it is nearly impossible to see if the Green LED is lit, other than while hovering directly over the Pedal, whereas the lit Red LED is clearly seen from a distance of several strides.
The faulty replacement unit will be at Fender TSL tomorrow for warranty exchange/replacement. The original faulty unit is going back to GC.

A big "Thank You" to Daniel at Fender TSL for sending out a fully working new EXP-1 (w/ normal Green LED) the same day he received mine!

Shipped mine out Thursday evening and had the new one in my hands Monday morning! :D
