As some of you may know, I have issues with Fender's implementation of the Floor's effects loop. However, at last night's concert, the Mustang Floor acquitted itself with its tone. The sounds I got plugged into a single Mackie DLM8 were completely delicious. It won't be until I have to do my solo gig where I'll need my looper again where I'll be shaking my head at the thing.

This unit could have been so much better for just a little more money, Fender and I for one would have been happy to pay it.

I know what you mean. I was rather disappointed when I realized that my Mustang III .v2 wouldn't tell me when it was time to change my strings!

Yea. It is quite a pain!
And if it's not totally useless, then it's the next thing to it.
I wished it had the functionality of the HD500, but the sounds of the Fender 4 V2.
I would've paid more for that!

Yeah, it's like a big tease, mojo_plasma. They give you this great sounding board but hamstring your ability to really make full use of it.

The thing is, they're already seriously undercutting the competition by 2 - 3 hundred dollars depending on the modeler. Even if they only undercut the competition by a hundred bucks... They're still undercutting the competition AND putting out a superior sounding product.
