How do I set my FenderFuse pc software up so that my favorite preset is the first one that automatically opens when I turn the amp on and connect it to my pc?

As the Mustang III, IV, and V, amps always power up to Preset "00", simply save the preset you want at power-up to Preset Memory "00".

This is easy to do right on the amp itself - no need to use FUSE (unless you want or need to reposition FX units in the signal chain).

On the v2 models III, IV and V, all Basic Seventeen (17) default Modeled amps are in memory slots 83 through 99. Once I discovered that every one of their parameter settings were hard coded, and would always be accessible in such default configuration when selected from the Amp button bank selection choices, I had no reluctancy to re-use these seventeen slots for my own Presets. These seventeen memory slots also served to temporary bounce (placehold) another existing default preset in the two-step process of relocating any one (at a time) of the 83 default presets to another numeric slot on the amp (without overwriting any of the other 82 default presets).

Until I eventually got around to backing up the original default presets using FUSE, I did not want to overwrite any until I familiarized myself with their individual recipe of settings. Note: the various settings and parameters of these 83 Fender provided individual presets are not available simply from the Amp, Stomp, Mod, Delay, & Reverb buttons' selection menus. These 83 presets have non default button selection menu values dialed in comprising each Preset!

At first I moved the Basic Studio Preamp (originally in memory 83) to memory 00. This way, the amps no longer default to the higher gain effect laden Liquid Solo preset (that is otherwise in memory slot 00 at default). Subsequently, I moved my customized preset to memory 00.

Note: The Memory Lock is enabled by default. This must be set to "Off" to move any presets or make any changes, rename presets, etc. Also note that if you perform a master reset on the amp, all factory settings will be restored! All of your changes -- if you have not first backed them up using FUSE -- will be lost!

I presume the Mustang I and II also use their first User Configurable Memory slot. As these models have color LED banks, rather than the alphanumeric LCD, I'm not familiar with the steps to accomplish the equivalent tasks on these amps. I do not know how FUSE handles the presets for these models.

Hope this helps....
