Are the Fender presets' parameter values available anywhere in a human readable form (pdf, doc, txt, xls, etc)?

I have never connected my Mustang Amp (III & IV both v2) to the PC, and only briefly explored FUSE. There are many interesting custom presets avail for download into FUSE from the user community beyond the amp's 100 defaults.

Aside from the FX signal chain position (only editable using FUSE) are the presets used by FUSE in a text file format that can be human readable showing all the parameters used for each preset?

I have no problem configuring a preset via the LCD & amp controls. As FUSE does not support Android, I would love to be able to manually configure a preset while reading the parameter values from my Android tablet of any presets I might download via FUSE on my PC, then export and convert to a readable format.

Has anyone already created any such sort of a utility?

Use Fuse - that's what it's for.

[I did start building a re-ordering and setting controls visualiser, but then real work got in the way
I had it all working as a PHP tool but next step was to rebuild in javascript.. so meh..
The xml values are numbers - not user friendly - just open a fuse preset in notepad to see]

I guess I could put that onto a website and then you could upload a preset to view the settings
If I charged one dollar a go it might make it worth my time!

Thanks, KidBlast. This I had seen even before buying the amps. It lacks the pertinent parameter values for all the effects.

I was hoping the file format of what FUSE saves to the hard drive might have been easily exported or converted from a CSV, or XML into a spreadsheet or per record format with each parameter value for any preset (including the one's on line).

That would make it possible for the parameter settongs to be saved to an Android tablet and simply read, to manually enter any preset directly on the amp.

I'll have to take a look at the FUSE saved file format and any header info I can find.

They are xml files readable in a text editor. You would have to spend some time looking at a file, then changing some parameters and seeing what changed in the file, to figure out which lines control which values in the preset, and what valid values would be.

I've messed with preset files quite a bit in Text Edit. You can change the value of parameters and certainly alter everything you can alter using Fuse. Not a very practical use, however, where it is sort of practical is if you want to edit a backup file. That is of course if you don't mind the tedium. I have used this to set up the FX Knobs and then restore the edited backup file using Fuse. That is something I do wish could be done in Fuse.

That said. Even if you are successful in editing the files on your tablet device, I don't think you will be able to load those onto your amp. You will still need Fuse and thus, this would be a little impractical.

Unless I'm completely misunderstanding what you are doing.

I'm not seeking to do any editing outside of using FUSE!

I do not have FUSE connected to the amps.

Any downloading of presets from the Internet FUSE community or edits done in FUSE would be saved to PC's hard drive -- not saved to the amps.

A printed hard copy (or electronic copy) viewable on the Android tablet is what I'm seeking. I know the Android tablet is not (yet) Fender FUSE supported to connect to the amp.

An XML file (if that is what FUSE writes a preset as to the hard drive) likely does not give a clear and readable glimpse of what each setting, effect, and parameter value should be.

I'd love to have a hardcopy of each custom Preset printed on an 8.5" x 11" paper (or pdf equiv). That way each Preset's name, and it's Selected Amp, Stomp, Mod, Delay, and Reverb (along with each of their parameter settings) could clearly be seen. This could then be used to set a Preset in the Amp using the LCD and it's controls in less than a minute.

The amp would not need to be brought to nor be connected to the PC.
