Hi

I have a fairly new Mustang IV V2 150 amplifier. I just bought a brand new EXP-1 expression pedal. Immediately I notice that the volume of the heel and toe are in reverse. I have opened FUSE and it shows that the heel is supposed to be 0%. But it is not. Sure I can simply switch the parameters to get them right.

But I REALLY want to know WHY the volume is operating like an ON/OFF. It is either 0 or 100. There is no in between as far as my ear can tell. Is this pedal defective or what? So far I am having trouble justifying the $90 I just spent.

Don't know how I missed it. But apparently I need to calibrate the pedal. Will post back here if it doesn't work.

Yup, needs Calibration first!

Do post back how you find it works for you. I have one on the way....

Got my EXP-1 last night and same exact thing happened to me with the backwards pedal. The calibration procedure is silly because when I reset the amp holding down util button it didn't stay lit for 1 second. It didn't stay lit at all. So I just blindly went through the process like the new document says to do and it worked.

I would love to see this process rectified in a future firmware update.

Overall I am super happy with my Mustang IV and now that I can use the wah and pitch shifter I am tickled pink.

I calibrated mine but it's backwards too. Not in actual use, but in the menu. Because i can just set it in the menu opposite of what it says and it's then right when i use it. IE: set the heel setting as tho it was toe and visa versa.

Try performing the Pedal Calibration steps again. So long as you begin the Pedal's Range of Motion from within the limits you want, the result should set the Pedal Toe Range's effective Max position = Toe Value (that you subsequently configure in the EXP-1's Vol and Expr Menus), and Pedal Heel Range's effective Max position = Heel value (that you subsequently configure in the EXP1's Vol and Expr Menus).

Also know that if you are using the 4 Btn Fsw, it must be unplugged from EXP-1 Pedal before attempting the Pedal Calibration procedure!

Thanks for this tip. I tried calibrating it a dozen times the 4-button switch plugged in. Unplugging it and success.

It's not the hammer! It's knowing how to use it!
