Feature request: alternate setting for 1st button on 4 button footswitch (in mode 3, where you can access tuner on/off, stomp on/off, mod on/off, delay on/off).
Lots of players, myself included, have tuner pedals they prefer to use onstage. So the 1st button is basically being wasted if a player is not using it to engage the tuner. Couldn't an alternate setting be available where the button could be assigned to, say, tap tempo, or reverb on/off, if a user doesn't need it to tune?

I like the idea, but how would that work with the first button's main use to change the 'mode' of the other three buttons? Or are you suggesting your new setting would 'lock' the footswitch into just one mode?

110% agreement on this. It's one of the first things i thought of. I can see how a foot switch for tuning could be usefull, but not 1/100th as useful as another amp function. I also wish the footswitches, both 2 and 4 button were fully programmable so you could say assign the buttons to any function you wish separately instead of having the choices of 3 or 4 different combinations. For example, what if i want up and down buttons and mod and stomp functions. I'd like to be able to assign button 1 to patch down, 2 to patch up, 2 to stomp, and 4 to mod. I have actually done that by hacking up my footswitches ! But i had to use the 2 button as up/down and hacked it up and put it in a old 4 button footswitch housing from a old amp of unknown origin and then moved made some switches for the mod and stomp functions to put in the other 2 slots of this old housing and took wires out from the 4 button into the new housing. A major surgury, but it was the only way i could do it. I also did that partially to have the buttons spaced further apart, as fender's spacing it unusable for live playing. You'd need the feet of a 5 year old girl to not hit 2 at once !

in all, the footswitching on this thing is ridiculous, especially given that to have what i wanted i had to buy a $60 switch and then hack it up to make it worthwhile. Fender, get a clue ! You compromised the spacing making it hard to use to get what....another 2 inches of compactness?! And programmability....it's lame that with as much functionality as this amp has you have given us severely limited functionality at the floor level when it's possible to do so much more. Not to mention no LED's in the 2 button which makes it rather problematic for somethings.

So yeah, i'm with you on the tuner thing, but for me thats just the tip of the iceberg. So much potential, so little of it realized.

I'm with you, the footswitch arrangement is the weakest part of the Mustang amps, and makes it difficult to perform in a situation where you need to change presets a lot. I have size 13 feet and it's almost impossible to hit the right button without looking at the switches.

Also, whoever came up with the idea that you should jump 10 presets with the up/down bank function, and then press the up/down button again to change direction, needs to rethink things.

I use banks of 3 presets for different songs, so the choice is either stomp the up button many times to change banks, or hit the change bank button and then back down to the correct bank. ????

Thats nuts- they should have an up bank and down bank button which moves up and down 3 presets since that's what are available in each bank.

And they should have programmable function for the 2 button footswitch so you can choose it's function for each preset. Some presets don't have a stomp, some don't have modulation, some don't have delay etc, so it would be much better to be able to control the effects for each preset.

I don't understand why they don't just add extra assignability to the switches via the Fuse editor.

Fender really needs to release a better foot controller for Mustang v2 line of amps. I had to create my own. Why should we have to do this? The amps sound fantastic but the foot control side of them is really bad.
