Please forgive my ignorance but can I take a full wet signal from the XLR outs to then go into the mic input on my iPad for recording into Garage Band or similar, what volume does XLR come out at?

If so would I have to combine the two L&R signals together to give the full stereo sound?

Many thanks in advance.

Jon

Yes, this is precisely the point of the XLR outputs

Whatever volume you set - the XLR outputs have their own volume/level control. But it's in the range of a standard XLR line-level signal.

You would have to use both L&R signals, and record them onto separate channels, if you want stereo sound. ("Combining" them is something different and means mixing L and R together to make a mono sound - I'm assuming that isn't what you mean?). But unless you are specifically using any of the stereo effects, then both L and R will be the same anyway, so you can just use one of them. Also, if you have the Mustang Floor (rather than one of the combo amps - you don't say which you have) I *think* you can configure the outputs to have the same (mono) signal, even if you're using stereo effects - ie you effectively lose the stereo-ness (you would typically do this if you want to send two identical outputs to two different devices).
