Right now I'm on a camping trip and away from my MIII. But if you have 100 presets then you must have a MIII, IV, or V. So, first, if you don't want to lose the factory presets, be advised that there is a procedure in the manual to help restore the original factory presets. Second, if you modify one of those or create your own from scratch you will have to write over one of the originals. Most of us use the first 5-20 patches for our favorites, depending on your personal needs. But you may use all 100 addresses for your own creations. You will lose the factory ones of course, but can restore them as stated above. In order to preserve your own creations, it is advisable to download the Fender Fuse software. With Fuse you can create and save your patches to the computers hard drive. Thus, you can store an unlimited number of patches and create all kinds of groups of 100 patches if you so desire. Also, you can download other users patches from the fuse website. Fuse also provides "Backup" and "Restore" functions for your groups of 100 patches. Since I'm not at home, I think I'll let scott-uk or one of the other guys help you with step by step creating and saving a patch. But you can learn a lot by reading the manual. If you don't have it, you can download it from the Fender website under the "Support" link.

+1 to Lynn Nicholson's post, that covers everything perfectly, there's nothing else to add (I'm only replying because that post mentioned my name). One could duplicate the manual by posting the exact steps to edit, save, rename, etc presets - but as it's already in the manual, it's quicker/easier to read it there.

(If you don't already have the Advanced Manual for your amp, you can download it from the Fender support website; search for "Mustang Manuals" and select the page appropriate to your amp model. You can also download an online version of the Quick Start Guide which is the short printed manual that came with your amp. The Advanced Manual is only available as a download. You can get the FUSE manual from fuse.fender.com).

Dear darrylcc,

Thanks for your inquiry. You've received excellent and accurate information from our forum members. I am providing you with links to both of the manuals Scott-uk mentioned in his post and an additional link of the Amps presets, so you can map out what presets you may want to write over.

I hope you find them helpful and let us know if we can assist you further.

Folks,

Thanks so much for the replies. I have got it now. Pretty nice to be able to save to the computer or to always be able to go back the the factory settings after making changes. I am clear now.

Thanx
Darrylcc
