I miss the sound of my old Mustang 1 & 2 but don't need another amp in my house so I'm considering the Floor. Is the effects loop still stuck in the pre preamp position and is immovable? Thanks all.

Yes and yes. The fx-loop is in a fixed position at the very start of the signal chain. This is due to the hardware construction of the unit, it isn't something that could be changed by a firmware update.
