This song was written, recorded & mixed on Easter Sunday afternoon. I make no apologies for the Les Paul, LOL. Seriously, though, many of my recordings are made with my Strat, too. See my other videos for some of those examples.

This song features my 2000 Gibson Gary Moore signature Les Paul and 2012 Rickenbacker 4003 bass. The guitar tracks were recorded via USB of my Mustang III amp, which is one of the earlier V1 versions. The amp model was a '59 Bassman with stereo tape delay, '65 Fender spring reverb and some vintage tremolo (on the lead track). The bass was also recorded via USB using a Zoom B3 pedal with the D3 (Wid Sprd) patch.

Pay attention to the lead guitar track - I did no post processing on that individual track (although there is some global level-related processing on the master track). It is an example of the excellent stereo effects the Mustang III creates when you use the USB interface.

Thanks, man. I was just checking out your YouTube channel. Do you have a v1 or v2 Mustang III? Nice work in the Mustang III Demo playlist!

tyvm! :) That's my v1 MIII, still got it and going strong. I'll probably wait until v3 comes out to upgrade. I've gigged it a lot over the last 3 years, and it's been 100% reliable. The only thing I've had a few bugs with is the 4-button footswitch, but that may have been the (non Fender-issued) wire I was using. It sound like you've been enjoying it as much as I have.
Oh and no lack of love for the Les Paul over here, my main guitar is an Epiphone BB King Lucille.

love the tune and the sound and playing are excellent! I have the Mustang 4 original version and I will keep it as long as it keeps going.

Sounds nice, man.

No need to apologize for the lp- there's just something about a Gibson guitar plugged into a Fender amp that just sounds right, you know? I'm another one with a mix of the two: my main guitars are two Fenders and two Gibsons. (plus an Epiphone for good measure) ALL my guitar amps are Fender, though.

The Bassman is one of my favorite models on my v1 MustangIII AND my SC X2. I also LOVE the sound I get from running P90's into the Supersonic model. ( In my case, a Gibson SG., or an Epi Wildkat)

I created that particular Bassman patch about 3 years ago when I was trying to see if I could teach myself to play CCR's "Born on the Bayou." I don't think I used the stereo tape delay effect for that, plus there was an overdrive effect that I switched in and out between the verses and the leads. I found the project files for that experiment and remixed it a few minutes ago. What I did 3 years ago was to take the original CCR song and delete the right channel content, which was mostly John Fogerty's guitar part. I then took the left channel content and fiddled around with the stereo mix and added my guitar track, mixed predominantly on the right channel, but including a good bit of the original recording (without John Fogerty's guitar track). Yeah, I can't really post it on social media, since it contains copyrighted material, but if you want to hear it, I temporarily uploaded the mp3 to my site:

It has a few rough spots, but I think I managed to capture the vibe of the song, if not the note-for-note lead guitar track.
