Hi. I just got the Mustang III V2. If someone here could tell me the order of the push buttons, as well as the order of the various rear panel jacks, that would be very helpful to me. Thanks.

Dear Rory,

Thanks for inquiry. The Knobs on the top panel Left to Right are:
GAIN - VOLUME - TREBLE - MIDDLE - BASS - REVERB - MASTER

The Soft keys below the Display Left to Right are:
AMP - STOMP - MOD - DELAY - REVERB.

The Soft keys to the Right of the Data knob, Top to Bottom are:
UTILITY - SAVE - EXIT - TAP/TUNER

The back of the unit is configured Left to Right as follows:
INPUT POWER JACK and On/Off switch above it.

4 - Button 2 - Button Footswitch Jacks, Right/Left XLR Line Out w/Ground Lift switch and Return/Send FX Loop connection.

I hope this helps, I have also included the link for the Mustang™ Advanced Manual. I hope you find it helpful and please let us know if we can assist you further.

Thanks. that was very helpful. Next question. I am starting to figure out how to edit patches. I'm just going by sound of course, and taking notes on in what order the parameters are. so. Let's say I am adjusting a parameter, and then I push the data wheel to adjust the next one. But then I want to go back and adjust the previous one. Is there a way to step backward through the parameters, or do i have to cycle all the way around again to the one I want?
Next, let's say i am editing a tremelo, but then I decide I wand a different mod effect, not the trem. Once I'm within the trem settings, the data wheel seems to just cycle through the parameters of the trem, how do i get out of the trem altogether and back into the main list of modulation effects so I can choose a different one. Same goes with reverb types, delay types, ect. Once I am inside it, I can't figure out how to get out of it and choose a different reverb or delay type. Many thanks. Once I get the hang of this thing I'll be rockin.

Dear Rory,

Thanks for your inquiry. If you are adjusting a parameter, and then push the data wheel selecting a parameter, you cant go back and adjust the previous one, you have to cycle all the way until it starts at the beginning again.

If you're editing a tremolo or any effect and want to come out of it and change to a different effect you must hit the "EXIT" button, and then you can choose a new effect. I hope this helps and please let us know if we can assist you further.

Regards,

Next question:
Can the 2 button footswitch do different things on different presets? Like, if I want it to activate or bypass mod and stomp on one preset, but stomp and delay on another preset.

Secondly, can you tell me how to turn off the memory protect? I can edit patches by listening to what I'm doing, but obviously the utility menus don't change the sound of anything. So if you could tell me, from the time power is turned on, press utility button x times, move value dial right or left X clicks, then I can turn off memory protect without having to wait for someone with working eyes to come over. :)

No, footswitch mode is set globally.

Press Util button six times, click wheel once to the right. (Actually it does not matter how many clicks you turn right - right always turns it off and left always turns it on.) Press exit to leave the Util menu.

Dear Rory,

Thanks for your inquiry. The 2 - button foot switch will work when set in one of the following modes
1)QA1/QA2
2)Stomp/Mod
3)Stomp/Delay
4)Stomp/Reverb
5)Stomp/Tap
6)Mod/Tap
7)Delay/Tap
)Reverb/Tap
9)Mod/Delay
10)Mod/Reverb
11)Delay/Reverb
and you have to select and change the mode when you want to change the function.

The steps to turn off "Memory Lock" are as follows:
Press "UTIL" 6 times\turn Data knob clockwise\press "Exit" key.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
