Just picked up an M IV and love it of course. Haven't hooked up my Mfloor to it yet as my Mfloor is not with me right now. Wondering when I hook the MFloor into the return of the M IV which direct out do I use to go into my PA? The Floor or the IV?

Ifc you are wondering why I am going to attempt this it's because I'm not crazy that I can't see the actual names of the patches with my IV only the patch #. I also understand I'd be losing some amp and pedals models.

I'm hoping it's the IV because I do not care for my MFloor direct sound into a PA.

Hopefully you understand my question.

We need to know the rest of the connections you're planning to use in order to answer the question. What's the complete signal chain? If you're plugging the M-Floor into the return of the M4, your setup is probably: guitar to M4 input; M4 send to M-Floor input; M-Floor output to M4 return?

Also is it a V1 or V2 Mustang 4? (Specifically for this question, does it have XLR output?)

Just to check one thing: the wording of your post suggests you might be thinking that the M-Floor and M4 somehow communicate and one can be used to control the other. This isn't possible, they are completely independent units. Mentioning just in case...

As above think we need more information.

Are you aware that the line outs from the floor can be assigned to different functions. I have my left Line out set up to go direct to the board and the right set up to go into a combo amp, they are EQ differently. Of ourse doing this you loose stereo but heyho.
