Hi,
is there a way to download all presets in one zip file from https://fuse.fender.com/mustang/presets/ ?
Didn't found any link.
The page is not very userfriendly - You can't download the preset directly from the list. When you click on download it loads another pages and then you can download there. That's too many clicks.
Not a big problem but I think it would improve the usability a lot if you could download the preset directly from the list. And a button download all in one file wouldn't be a problem to program.

No there is no global 'zip' available for that. Why not download presets from within the FUSE software interface? No separate page clicks that way.

Instructions:

strings10927 wrote:
1. Log in to FUSE

2. Click Main Menu

3. Click the VIEW menu and select Media Library (CTRL+L)

4. In the upper-right, click WEB (should turn red).

5. If COMPUTER or AMP are red, click them until they are white. Only WEB should be red.

6. Click in the Search box and type something ('Hendrix' for example)

7. Click the GO button

8. When the list populates with presets, locate one you'd like to download.

9. Click to select the preset you'd like to download.

10. Right-click the selected preset and click Download Preset.

11. The preset should download, and immediately the FUSE window will go to the preset editor for that preset. At this point, it should be saved to the computer.

Thanks for the answer. I'll try that out.
The problem is that I don't have internet connection at home for the next week. So I have downloaded some presets at work and noticed thats not very user friendly.
Anyway - thanks for the hint.

Huh? I've uploaded presets I made with my v1 amp ... they're all still there:

https://fuse.fender.com/mustang/presets ... rings10927

I see they're all listed as v2 under compatibility:

Compatibility
Mustang™
Mustang™ (V.2)
Passport® mini

Is that what you mean?

I bought a CD on eBay of something like 9900 presets for the Mustang. I know they are free on the FUSE site, but the time savings was worth it for me. Now I have all 9900 of them on my hard drive, much faster to try them or modify them. You might look on eBay and see if that CD is still out there, it was like ten dollars or so.

Or better yet, you could zip them and provide a download link here. :D

Maybe 7600? If I go to the FUSE website, and display 100 presets per page, I get 76 pages ....

Thanks for your reply. Sorry, but I'm not gonna buy something that's available for free. Then if you have them all you can put half of them in the trash. I've got a modelling effect pedal from another brand and got some patches that someone sales online. I could use 3 or 4 of them - all other are not useable. That's not because they are bad overall, but because they where made with other equipment and other expectation.
I'm pretty new to the mustang and only dowload presets to see how they are made but until now I have tweaked every single preset I tried to fit my needs.

But thanks for suggestion.

I suppose it depends on your definition of "free." You don't have to pay money to get the presets from the FUSE library, but you have to spend quite a bit of time if you want to download lots of them*. For you that may not matter. For someone else, paying $10 to someone else to save time is worthwhile.

Of course, out of 9900 presets (or whatever number) only a small handful will be useful to any particular guitarist, and you've still got to spend the time going through them all to try them. But if that helps someone find the sound they want, and thus increase their enjoyment from using their guitar and amp, that person may consider it $10 well-spent.

*As an aside, and before someone else points this out, it's pretty trivial to create a script that automatically downloads them all in the background (at a suitably web-server-friendly constrained rate of course), and even keeps your local library up-to-date with new ones that are added to the FUSE library. This then removes even the time overhead of downloading them.

I don't mean to detail this thread:

Regarding backing up the presets on the Mustang, can you backup all the loaded presets at once (as in one large backup file) or is it just one at a time (as in one hundred separated backup files)?

Yes, you are absolutley right but for me it isn't an option. I just thought it would be handy to download all in one file, but I'm fine without it. I'm creating my own presets anyway but it never hurts to have some inspiration ;-)

You can do a backup with the fuse software, that saves all presets at once - but not as a single file if you mean that.

I have to get used of this too. I'm using the POD HD500 since a long time and the handling and software is a bit different.

There are quite a few duplicates on the CD, so that's probably why there are more than 7600 on it. As far as providing a link to a zip file - this is something that someone else put their time, (however much that was), into assembling and selling, so to make it available for free would, to me, be similar to what Napster was doing a few years back, without the creators of a product getting paid for it.

Blimey… the thought of going through that many presets is daunting. 10 bucks for a CD ? yeah that’s money well spent to save all the download time. Then the having to go through them though… ouch. And that number is always changing anyway so there’s that.

Personally I think it’d be WAY WAY faster to fine tune your tweaking chops and make your own presets but that’s just me. To each his own.
