Good morning. Can anyone point me toward a tutorial or thread on the simplest way to get FUSE up and running on my iMac running OSX 10.9.5? Tried searching w/o luck. Do I really have to download these enormous Silverlight files and all?
Thank you

Yes, you need Silverlight but you don't need to download it (or anything else) separately. Just click the "Download for Mac" link on fuse.fender.com - that will download a self-contained installer that includes everything you need.

In fact, there is no other installer (eg that doesn't include Silverlight or any other pre-requisites). The self-contained installer is what you use, and this is the simplest (and only) way to do it.

Perhaps the question back to you should be: what isn't working for you with the standard installer?

This might shed a little light on the question.....

Minimum System Requirements:
Intel-based Mac, 512 MB of RAM
Mac OS X 10.7 or later
Safari 5.0 or later
Mono Framework 2.6.7 *or later
Microsoft Silverlight 4.0* or later
Minimum Video Resolution of 1024x768

I guess if Silverlight is bundled with the FUSE installer for MAC, it probably shouldn't be listed as a minimum system requirement for installing the FUSE installer.

But then OP might have missed this line below the minimum requirements:
*Included with Fender® FUSE™ installer

I got it to work with OS 10.6.8, but it did seem that I had to keep running the install procedure a few times before I got the right Silverlight and Mono Framework files.

Even so, after a few weeks of no problems, Fuse would hang up at the "splash" screen on launch, every time. I had to re-install the same version of Silverlight. No problems since then.
