I recently bought a Fender Mustang 3 amp via Amazon and delivered here in Qatar.
I previously own a Fender Mustang 2 bought from Malaysia.

So when i tested my new mustang 3, i accidentally plugged it in 220v, i didn't bother thinking of the voltage because i used a mustang 2 before. i forgot that US have 110v only. so my amplifier lit up for 2 seconds and died out.

I know it is out of warranty, so i asked a local technician to take a look at it. but he is having difficulty because Mustang 3 doesn't have schematic diagrams available.

I would like to ask maybe some one out there have a schematic drawing of the mustang please.

Please , Please help!.. i don't want to just leave it there at the living room as display, there must be away that it can be save, the technician told me that there are no signs of burn inside, he is suspecting that the Power supply IC or Amplifier IC might be at fault.

Sorry to hear about your amp problem, it must be very frustrating.

Fender don't provide schematics for the Mustang amps. Unlike a "conventional" amp that consists of discrete components which can be individually replaced, the Mustang amps use pre-fabricated PCBs containing mostly custom ICs. You'd have to ask Fender directly whether they'd identify, let alone supply, the individual ICs; I suspect not. You might be able to obtain a complete replacement circuit board - but you may find the cost of that, plus labour to fit it, exceeds the cost of the amp.

Indeed, people who've returned faulty amps for warranty repairs have found that even Fender don't think it cost-effective to repair them; usually the customer is just given an entire replacement amp. Unfortunately, that may be your best option too, just to find and buy another amp. It seems daft, but will probably be cheaper, and certainly a lot simpler, than trying to repair your current one.

On the other hand, if there is just a simple, standard, IC etc that can be replaced, a competent audio electrician ought to be able to recognise that on the circuit board without needing a full schematic from Fender. If it is just a power-supply issue, hopefully only one or two components at the power input have been damaged, and your amp technician may be able to identify and replace those. Of course, it won't be until after you've done that, that you'll be able to tell if any further damage has been done to the rest of the components, so even this route may turn out to be complicated and expensive.

if it will not be fixed then it would be a big display in my living room. LOL.
It is not use at all, very brand new, i didn't plugged the guitar yet. :( .
i just cant give up yet, i'll see how far the technician goes, but not exceeding too much effort on it. :)

would you have any idea if all amplifiers have fuse specially the mustang 3?

Did you try to contact the fender support? Even if it's out of waranty maybe they can give you the best solution or at least some hints how to resolve the problem.
