I have a new Mustang III. I also play a MIM Strat HSS (Humbucker). I am looking for a good Clapton like sound. I am new to this amp and have not been able to find my way around it yet.
Thanks!

Have you tried to search for a preset at https://fuse.fender.com/mustang/presets/
I'm sure there's something for you.

Try these 'Clapton presets by user 'intheblues'. You might not need to look any further:

That Hyde Park preset is spot on with my Dot, which is the same style as EC's 335.
It probably needs a little bit of tweaking for another guitar, but it it's any indication of Shane's skill, I'm going to guess that his other presets are excellent with the proper guitar.

The real problem for getting a "Clapton" like sound is that, over almost 50 years of recording, he has had quite a few different "sounds." You may find it beneficial to look for patches that emulate specific songs that you like to play. For example Layla and Tears In Heaven, both Clapton songs, are using completely different amps and effects. Consider the differences between the Bluesbreakers and Derek and the Dominoes periods, as well as the more modern era as a solo artist. You can search in Fuse for specific song-sounds as well as artist-sounds. You may or may not find exactly what you are looking for. But, best of luck anyway :)
