Hi guys, got my Mustang I last year. Learning the guitar for approximately 17 months, enjoying more every day (thus the wife is not too happy of me spending hours in my den...). My favourite music is the blues, but i don't mind learning other things too like Metallica thanks to my son.
Just started to look at all the functionality of this wonderful amp.
I have a few questions to ask, they probably have been answered a thousands times i guess.
First question is, if i download a preset from the community, and I import it to my amp. How do i find it.
Also i read somewhere, that if I should be able to see the parameter for a specific preset and apply them to my amp without downloading it, is this correct?
Sorry for the noob questions
JC

Not bad questions at all, need a little clarification.

1) Find it where? On your PC or your amp?

2) no I don't thinks so, there is no preview if patches in the community. Additionally you can't test them out without down loading them.

As already asked, where are you looking for it?
When select it from your PC in FUSE, then import it to the amp with FUSE, FUSE should have asked for a preset location to import that to.

For preset info, if you are logged into FUSE, and have that PRESET active, the details are there on your screen in the FUSE UI. On the Advanced Amp tab you will see things like Nose Gate, Sag, Bias, Cab Emulator etc)

there is a preset info tab, but it's pretty useless in regard to what details existing in a given preset, that info has to be added and save I guess by the person who created that particular preset.

What are you using to download the presets, a Windows computer? Mac?

If you are using Microsoft Windows, here is one way you can do it:

1. When you download new presets, save them in your My Documents  Fender  FUSE  Presets folder
2. Connect the amp to the computer via USB cable and switch the amp on (if it's not already connected and on)
3. In Fender FUSE, click the MEDIA LIBRARY button in the upper-right side
4. In between 'MEDIA LIBRARY' and 'ADD TO LIBRARY', click the COMPUTER button
5. Scroll as necessary to locate the preset you downloaded in the list of displayed presets
6. Right-click the preset you downloaded
7. Select Save to amp and choose what preset slot will be overwritten with the new preset
8. Click OK to overwrite the selected preset slot

No, not that I'm aware of.

Thank you String 10927! You basically answered my questions. I was confused about where to find the preset on the amp after that, but i managed to work it out. Well impress now as i can try some new sounds. Downside is, more hours playing around with the guitar, the other half is not going to be impressed :D Probably will have more questions as I go along

Once you get the hang of it, you wont spend a lot of time unless you're looking for some new tones.

don't worry about noob questions, just ask what ever you desire if you need any help.
