I have purchased and plugged in a 2 button footswitch along with a 4 button and am not getting the expected result. Does someone know of a tutorial somewhere that I can look at? I go to the utility menu and set the 2 button to and up and down Down/Up but the down is the only thing that works. Is there possibly something wrong with it?

Set it to something else like QA1/QA2 and see if that same switch button doesn't work. If it doesn't, something's wrong with that button/switch and you'll want to contact Fender directly to get a replacement...or the place you bought the footswitch at to conduct the RMA for you.

yea not sure if you did any thing to the settings but you gotta go into the utilities and tell the amp what functions you want the 2 button FS to control

Assuming you have set it up correctly, it sounds like you may have a faulty footswitch. If you want to diagnose this yourself, see this topic:

viewtopic.php?f=27&t=85821

in which I describe the electrical characteristics of the 2-button footswitch; all you need is an ohm-meter to confirm if yours is behaving correctly.

I'd get in touch with Fender or your retailer; they are usually pretty good at replacing faulty parts.
