I currently have the Mustang V head/cab right now but really am craving the kind of tone that only a tube/valve head can give me. My dream head would be a Marshall JCM800, but that's probably out my price range for now. Nonetheless, I do have other options I'm weighing, in the 50-100watt range.

I'm trying to save money by not buying a new cabinet.

Is the Mustang V Cabinet suitable for use with a tube/valve head? If I use a non-stereo head with the Mustang V Cabinet, will it only output to two if the speakers instread of all 4?

As discussed in other recent topics, I believe if you plug in to just one socket on the cab, you get all four speakers in mono. You'll need to check the impedance though. I believe the details are actually on the plaque on the back of the cab next to the sockets.

I can tell you a Ibanez TSA15H head will work with the MV cab in stereo!
