Thanks! I wish Fender would incorporate this same setup into one floor unit, with the guitar in and out as shown. That's very convenient because then you don't need one long cable going to the amp from the guitar. You just plug the guitar into the board.

Hi jwoertz,

Thanks again. And I will be happy to forward this on to some decision makers here.

Best Regards,

Thanks! I got the 9x15 cutting board on eBay for like $10, then used some official PedalTrain Velcro. The best part is, NO power requirements. All the power comes for the amp!

Thanks! It literally took like 20 minutes to put together. No bid deal at all.

I am curious what you are using the AB switch for. Also I am assuming the clock is a stop watch to check your time... thanks for sharing

Clock is just a digital clock to watch the time. It's not a stopwatch.

The ABY switch lets me plug the guitar directly into the pedalboard instead of running a cable all the way back to the amp from the guitar. That ABY box also handles two guitars and fixes ground loop issues. It was a must have for me.

So the only effect you use is delay, otherwise you switch presets?

I have been thinking about doing something a little similar (I have the 2 and the 4 switches units, as well as the expression pedal) and I like the idea of using the AB switch (although I don't like the idea of spending almost $100 on it).

Currently I use the foot switches to enable the 4 built-in effects, but I have been thinking to switch to a different effect slot instead.

Well sort-of. The only effect I control with my foot is delay and tap tempo, but don't forget you have the expression pedal for all kinds of control plus the "always-on" effects like compression. I am not hurting for control at all. I also use a Line 6 M13 customized by JHV3 when I need all the control over everything and loping.

So how many cabled do you have running back to the amp? I'm guessing 3, one for the 2 button switch, one for the 4 button switch daisy chained with the expression pedal, and one for the amp input.

I was thinking about doing something similar but also putting my ditto looper on the board, which requires another 2 cables (effect loop in and out, I want to capture the effects into the looper). that's starting to be a lot, even if you tie them all up into a "snake". Not sure it can be avoided though.
I wonder if I could use a multichannel connector (like a snake) instead and break them back out into their separate components on the other end. Or at least use a snake cable like this one: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessor ... ding-snake
