Hi guys- I'm just trying to confirm this once and for all....

Is there ANY way to use either the 2 or 4 button footswitch as a tap tempo on the version 1 Mustang III?

I have the version 2 Mustang III and I can do that. Our church has the version 1 and we can't.

Are we missing something?

Thanks!

I don't have my amp in front of me to check, but I'm pretty certain you can do this with the 2-button footswitch on the V1 amps. It's one of the options in the UTIL menu.

Please check when you are in front of the amp and let me know. Thanks.

So enter UTIL mode,

Press Util to get past QA #1 QA #2 QA #3,

you'll now be in the "Stomp" combo settings,

Using the Data Wheel, you'll see the options are "Stomp/Mod", "Stomp/Delay", "Stomp/Reverb" and finally, "Stomp/Tap"

Once you set Stomp/Tap, when using the two button foot switch button one will turn on/turn off the Stomp effect, and button two will now be set for tap tempo.

This works really cool if you have the 4 button foot switch, becuase you still have your Quick Access options available remotely.

hope this helps!

OK thanks for your help. The problem is (and the difference is) that there is no DELAY/TAP combo like on the version 2 MIII. Now I see what's going on.

Here's what my pedalboard looks like for my Mustang:

That is DEFINITELY the problem! :) I wish this was available on the V1 MIII
