Hi ya all...
I am looking for advice on the best wah pedal to use with a Mustang III. I use the on-board wah with the EXP-1 and its ok, but doesn't really give me the classic 60's wah I am looking for. I bought a Vox 845, but it sounds terrible. The bottom is lost in a booming tone, the top end just squeals, it doesn't sound like any of the demos I have heard on YouTube.

So what wah pedals have you had success with? What would be a good preset to start with? (one clean, one dirty?)

Thanks so much for sharing...

I have a M III v1 and had the same experience, the on board wah is ok, just not what I wanted. I got a Dunlop Cry Baby 535Q, hooked it up and that was it! I still love the EXP 1 pedal, the fact that you can assign it to any control on any onboard amp or effect box is just cool.

+1
Yep... I use a standard CryBaby Wah pedal... nothing special... the regular original one.
Go thru the front of the amp... Blam-O!

Omar59, how much did you try to modify the built in wah? From the samples I've found on youtube, it seemed like it shouldn't be that hard mix the wah with something from Stomp or Mod to get the sound closer to a Crybaby Classic. New to the amp, but curious if you tried very hard or just went straight to the Crybaby.

Thanks!

I use wah effects very heavily.
I use just a standard Dunlop Crybaby in front of my Mustang IV.
Sounds awesome!
