Hi, I have a problem with my Fender Mustang III v2 amplifier
When turned on, the lcd display lights up but does not display anything, and the save button blinks red. I looked up some solutions on the internet and it was suggested to update the firmware. I did so, and the same problem is persisting. Does anyone know what problem this indicates, and how to fix it?

Thanks!

Maybe the contrast got tuned down somehow because if it's all the way down theres no display. But there IS some light. So if yours is 100% dark like the amp isn't even on then you may have a problem in which case i would first try and do a factory reset and see if that fixes it. But if theres any sort of light on the LCD but you just can't see anything, try this. To get to the contrast page, press the utility button exactly 9 times, then turn the data wheel both ways till you see it appear, which it will if thats what the problem was. If not then i would try the reset and if that doesn't work it's probably warranty time.

I'm starting the warranty process because the LCD is actually completely lit up, just no text or graphic. Plus after doing a power cycle when I connect to the computer and FUSE, even though the last firmware update was successful, it automatically makes me update without any option to exit that dialog. Therefore, I can't even control anything from FUSE on the amp. Interestingly, I plugged music source into the AUX in jack and it plays perfect and is controlled successfully with the master volume

And I should have mentioned the reset function is not working, upon turning it on the save button just blinks red and no other buttons are functional

Drag, but good thing is 5 year warranty and fender warranty repair stations are plentiful unless you live in the jungle. Good luck with it.

Hi FernAlex,

If the display is lit and the 'SAVE' light is flashing, then the amp is in update mode. If you have not tried to re-apply a firmware update, that would be my first suggestion. If you have already tried that on a specific PC/Mac and it was not successful, you may want to try updating on a second PC/Mac (if possible). If you are still not able to get the amp updated, then I would suggest that you get it to an Authorized Service center. Please let us know if we can offer any additional assistance from our end.

Best Regards,

Alan
