Hi
I'm practicing several songs and I would like to find some good sounds for them. Unfortunately I'm beginner and I'm a little bit lost in all this effects, knobs, coops and buttons ;) I've downloaded some presets but most are far from what i want. So if you don't have something better to do :) you could give some advises, tips, recomend settings or presets for that songs - it don't have to be perfect just something i could practice with and start to modify by my own. My guitar is Strat like Charvel CX390(SSH with Saymore Duncans) and amp is Fender Mustang I V2.
So the songs I'm playing are:
Rainbow - Stargazer, Lady of the Lake, Man on the Silver Mountain, Catch the Rainbow(I fink I found nice preset for this)
Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a seventh son, Aces High, Number of the Beast, Dance of the Dead
AC/DC - back in black, Highway to Hell, Hells bells
Aerosmith - Dream On, Cryin
Nightwish - Kinslayer, Fantasmic, Beauty of the Best, Come Cover Me
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven, Communication breakdown
Alice Cooper - Posion
Black Sabbath - Iron Man, Paranoid, War Pigs
Deep Purple- Smoke on the Water, Perfect Strangers
Dio - Last in line, All the fools sail away, Don't talk to strangers
Lynyrd Skynyrd_ sweet home alabama
Pink Floyd - Hey you, Run like Hell, Shin on you crazy diamond and Gilmour's solo sound from comfortably numb and High Hopes would be nice :)
That's it for now ;P Thnx for any help and advises

I like the "Led Zeppelin early tone" preset : https://fuse.fender.com/passportmini/pr ... arly-tone/
The the solo in something like "Good Times Bad Times" would need a Leslie effect, and I suppose the closest would be the Vibratone modulation but, sadly, the Rotor speed is not fast enough.

I'm a huge Floyd/Gilmour and Maiden fan.

Here's a couple that I made that work well with my setup

This is the preset i currently use for my "Shine On-ish tone" (Second Solo) I have a mustang II and its one of my two footswitch presets.

Here's a couple of Maiden-ish inspired ones. Work well for early Alex Lifeson-ish tones too.

Hope they work for you.

Thnx for presets, I love Pink Floyd and Iron maiden too they are my favorite bands... and Rainbow - my holy trinity :) So please somebody give me some nice Blackmore's sound for Rainbow ;)
Preset for Shine on is great however i also found this: https://fuse.fender.com/mustangv2/prese ... -shine-on/
It's great too, I like both of them and I can't decide. One is better for me in some parts second is better in other ;)
Maiden presets I like too but again i have feeling that sometimes it sounds better on my headphones than on a speaker ;/ But anyway catch 5 stars ;)

And Led Zeppelin early tone is also nice, thnx. It took me sometime till I realized that I have to cut volume on a guitar to make it sound as it should and now it's great :)

Thanks for the feedback.

I had that Shine On preset on my amp when I first got it. It was great so I just might have to revisit it and A/B it with what I’m using for my Twin slot. I went with the Bassman after I was listening to a lot of Pulse and Live at Gdansk so it’s a bit grittier than the WYWH version but I found it useful for the verses as well using the bridge pickup so kept it. There’s a ton of iterations of my Shine/Bassman patch so you can see how obsessed I got with that. That 13th fret bend at the start of the second solo is just sweet… I’m so close LOL.

One thing to note as you are using a Mustang I which made a difference for me is where your amps Master volume is. I have a mustang II and found that presets sounded considerably better once I got the master volume up around 4.5. The same preset would sound great in headphones and just lose luster coming out of the speaker. Once I discovered this I really bonded with my amp. Try it, might make a difference for you too.

Enjoy!

I've tried how my amp works at higher volume setting and I think yes, it sounds better, however it's quite loud so I can't do it to often. Also I change two things which could have some impact on sound. I put my amp on a table next to my computer and I feel that it really sound better now. LOL but I think it really makes difference :) Also I have changed the height of my pickups. Actually I lowered them a bit. I will have to experiment with them and my amp more but i'm starting to like my mustang now more than yesterday :)
