HI

every time i heard that mustang I and II don't have a clean channel and its difficult to use with external effect, other people use external multieffect and connect to the aux-in in order to bypass the preamp... so i read other solution that you can use and i think you ll feel satisfied.

hold button TAP while turning on your amp

Thats it! :D

Doesn’t that bypass everything?

Why buy a modeling amp if you need to bypass all the modeling?

You can dial in a pretty darn clean sound with say the 65 Twin, 65 Princeton and HiWatt models to name a few.

Can you explain what exactly this does?

Can you provide a link to the documentation / article / etc where you "read this other solution" ?

I'm just curious to understand what you're referring to.

Imagine for a moment that you have a favorite distortion pedal or maybe a pod 2.0 well, when you connect those to the mustang you ll hear a colored over colored sound that many people dont like, its is just an advice to those people.

Makes sense I suppose for a MultiFX unit user but then that brings me back to “why buy a modeling amp if you don’t need the modeling?”. I use a few pedals with my Mustang II and love what I’m getting. As long as you aren’t using something like a boost type pedal that is designed to push tubes to break up you should be fine.

why buy these amps? because its cheaper than others practice amps and i think its have a good quality/price relation, do i need the modeling? maybe or maybe not, some people would say "my multifx has better high gain distortion" for example, sometimes people specially when you are learning to play likes to have options to find your own sound, there are many reasons and you easily can see it if you look how many people asking for a clean tone in this forum

Not only does it bypass the modelling, but it disables all of the knobs except the MASTER volume.
As far as I can tell, you have to power it down and turn it on again.
