Can you set things like the Bright switch for appropriate amps on the Mustang III v2? I read a post here that implies you can, but I can't figure out how to do it on my amp through the LCD. Thanks for help! Yes, I can do it in FUSE and save a second preset, but I'd prefer to just switch it on and off on the amp like I would with a real amp.

There are a couple of settings you can only change through FUSE, not on the amp. The "Bright" switch is one of them. (The only others I can think of are the advanced noise-gate settings and (on V1 amps) the EXP-1 settings).

Yes it would be useful to be able to change this on the amp; no I don't know why Fender didn't make this possible. My assumption is that it would have required a third page of amp settings on the LCD screen which for some reason Fender decided not to do.

As an aside, I'm curious what the "Bright" switch is supposed to represent on the "British 60s" amp model. Yes, I know what changing the switch sounds like on the Mustang - but given that the real (original, 1960s) VOX AC30 doesn't have such a switch, what aspect of the real amp does it represent? I can only assume it's supposed to be the difference between plugging-in to the "normal" or "brilliant" inputs?

Thanks! I'm very new to Mustang amps as I just got this III v2 for Christmas.

As much of a gear fetishist as I am, I would much prefer having a real '65 Twin Reverb, but am really enjoying what I'm getting in the Mustang III (especially for the price!). Sounds great for my needs and even plays well at bedroom levels -- something that very few real tube amps are capable of!

Thanks for posting this, i didn't even know there was a bright switch ! I don't generally use fuse since i thought all settings were available on my MIII V2's LCD readout except effects order. Does anyone have a list of models in V2 that have a bright switch? I assume only the fender blackfaces?

On the V1 amps, it's the British 60s and 65 Twin Reverb. I don't know if any additional amps on the V2 Mustangs also have one.

Haha! Figures that the first amp model I start playing around with would have a switch that's inaccessible through the MIII! :)

Other than that, have to say I love the sound of the 1965 Twin preset!

...and becoming more enthusiastic about my Mustang III everyday!
