Yes that looks a suitable part. Do you know which wires to connect to each terminal?

- Cut the existing wire going to your internal speaker. Make sure you cut it at a mid-point so that both ends are long enough to reach to wherever you're going to fit the jack (otherwise you'll have to fit some additional wires to reach); alternatively disconnect the wire to the speaker and fit a new wire to the speaker, etc.
- Connect the 'ground' parts of this wire (both the end going to the amp and the end going to the internal speaker) to the 'sleeve' connection on the jack
- Connect the 'live' wire from the amp to the 'tip' connection on the jack
- Connect the 'live' wire on the internal speaker to the 'switched' connection on the jack

If you're not sure which are the 'ground' and 'live' wires, test the speaker contacts with an AC voltmeter before cutting anything. With the ground (usually black) wire of the meter connected to a suitable ground point in the amp, test both the speaker contacts while there is sound coming through the amp. The speaker's ground contact will show no (or a very small) reading. The speaker's live contact will show an AC voltage (of maybe about two or three volts, with the amp at 'home' volume; set the meter's range appropriately). Don't use a DC voltmeter, that will show nothing, or a meaningless value.

(The 'switched' connection on the jack is the one that becomes disconnected when you insert a plug into the jack socket. It may help to insert a plug in the socket first, before you fit it to the amp, to help you understand which connection does what)

Thanks! I wasn't exactly sure how to wire it, but am pretty good at doing stuff like this if I have something to go by...

Anyone know how the wiring is on this? There is a red wire and a black wire with terminals clipped onto the internal speaker, and a thicker yellow wire soldered directly onto the speaker...
