Hi,

I just bought my amp and love it except I notice that there is a loud noise each time I go to shut it off. I get a similar sound with my bass amp which is tube, but the noise is not as alarming. From what I read, this model does not have a tube. What can be causing it or is this normal?

Thanks for the help!

Since both your Mustang amp and your tube amp exhibit similar symptoms that would make me suspect a wiring issue in your home (or wherever you are using your amp). Is the outlet that you are using properly grounded and are the hot and neutral wires hooked up to the correct slots (sometimes they are reversed)? A couple ways to test this...

1) Try your amp in a different building where you know there is a modern grounded electrical system (hot, neutral and functioning ground wires to the outlet).

2) Buy an electrical outlet tester (they are like 20 bucks or less) and see if your outlet is wired correctly.
