I purchased a Fender Mustang Mini and upon plugging in noticed I wasn't getting any sound when playing. I looked up online how to do a factory reset and, as far as I can tell, completed that. I also downloaded the Fuse software and upgraded the firmware for the amp. I'm running power off of the adapter and not battery.

The current situation is if I turn my volume and master volume to 10 along with a preset that has heavy distortion I can get a really faint sound. If it helps any the sound is rather clean although the preset is essentially for metal.

My guitar is a Gibson Explorer with no modifications and I've plugged into my other amp, Fender Frontman, with no problem.

Anyone have an idea of what's going on?

Nah I haven't done any wiggling yet but I'll certainly try when I get off work.

I'm not sure of the return policy. I bought it off eBay around a month and a half ago and the seller stated it was tested/working. When the amp came in I found out my Gibson wasn't working. So I wasn't able to fully test the amp beyond turning it on and verifying it at least got power. Life got busy but I finally got around to getting the guitar fixed the other day.

I'm going to call Fender and see when the warranty expires on it, if it's still in affect. If worse comes to worse I can swing it by Guitar Center since they're an authorized repair shop.

Hopefully someone here has experienced the same and knows a solution?

You might want to try some contact cleaner on a Q tip and cleaning the input jack. Plus tips of cable and while you have it out do jack on guitar. Over here in Thailand a can of cleaner is a must. Might be built up just enough to let some signal thru, but not all of it. Heck, I don't don't know. Cheap easy fix before dealing with repair shop....

I'll give that a go when I get off work. Thanks for the tips.

I emailed Fender but they haven't gotten back to me yet. Here are some photos of the amp just in case anyone can see something.

Also, is the back of my amp normal? The serial number area is blank.

I have a barcode sticker with the serial number adhered to mine. Additionally, I have, what appears to be a factory applied sticker reading " NOM NYCE" obscuring the Fender Logo to the left of the "CE" emblem.

Fender replied and just wanted me to ship it to them so they could do some troubleshooting. Before I take that route I'm going to clean the input jack on my guitar and see if that helps.

When Emster 23 recommended the contact cleaner it clicked in my head that when they fixed my Gibson they said there was a little corrosion in the inside of the jack and after he rubbed a little sandpaper on the inside it worked. Hopefully the jack just needs a good cleaning and I can start playing through the Mustang Mini, that Frontman doesn't float my boat.

I cleaned the input jack but still no dice. Looks like I'll have to contact Guitar Center about repairing the amp. Hopefully it isn't that expensive.

BUT! If someone else has another recommendation please don't hesitate. I'm not looking forward to paying for repairs.
