What an incredible piece of gear this thing is. I've owned just about every major and some minor MFX pedals and a few MFX amps and the MF is in my opinion a cut above the rest.

I use it in the return of my favorite amp.

I realize at this point I'm probably just singing to the Choir but other than the lag when patching up or down this thing is incredible. I've spent good amounts of time with some of the highest end Digital Gear made and I'm not saying the MF is better but it sure is a gigantic step above anything form 200 to 600 dollars or so.

I have returned many MFX units recently because I "was" searching for an all in one solution to streamline my rig. Whether it was the G5 or the HD500x, VypYr w/ Sanperra, Spider Valve(used), or the G3, GT-100.. All of them went back because of things that just stuck in my craw too much to justify keeping it.

Not the MF. The tone, the note clarity, the touch dynamics, the sensitivity to a guitars volume and tone knobs. It's all there and doing it for 200 bucks? WOW. I play anything from soft blues to Slayer and if you need a tone it's there.

Really would love it if a firmware release could fix the stoppage in sound when patching up/down or at least improve it. To me though when I consider the tone and everything else I can live with it if I have to.

I've been a working musician for 30 years or so and I've owned enough gear through the years to fill a 2 car garage. If that tells you anything it tells you I'm not just blowing smoke here. I am very picky with the gear I own and how it performs for me.

Cant believe how good it takes OD pedals in the loop, the tuner is dead on, it doesn't take 2 minutes to boot up. Fender just really nailed it!!

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the Forum! I too think the Mustang Floor is great. In fact I liked my first one so much I donated it to my church Worship Team and bought myself another one. THEN I got into the Mustang III and bought two of those! I use the Floor at church and to drive my 68 Custom Vibrolux Reverb. An awesome combination! Anyway, like I said, congrats and welcome!! :D

Hey to the OP,

I do own a Floor and love it too. In the interest of trying other stuff I was thinking on getting a Zoom G3 but you seem to like it less than the Floor. May I know why? you might save me a couple hundred bucks...

Preach as much as you like. The choir is always glad to listen to posts like this. I don't have the floor, but i have the MIII V2 combo and like you i gigged regularly for a many years (tho you got me by 5 years) and owned mind numbing amounts of gear including amp after amp after amp. Had the MIII for i guess close to 6 months now and there isn't a day that goes by when i don't marvel at it. Literally. It's the feel, the touch sensitivity/dynamics that just floors (pun intended  ) me. The only thing that puzzles me are the few that don't seem to get it. I can only assume they don't have the experience and thier playing doesn't rely on touch. All i know is NO OTHER modeler or any non tube gear i have played comes close to feeling and reacting like a tube amp, yet the mustang doesn't just come close, it nails it. In fact, the dynamics are BETTER than probably most tube amps. Welcome to the insiders club !

Still loving my MF!

Picked up an almost new Fostex MR16 multitrack digital recorder the other week and the MF works beautifully With it.

Love the stereo xlr's.

I too play stuff like The Verve, Joe Satriani, Guns N Roses, and A pale horse named death, Type O Negative type stuff. MF covers all of it.

I really don't understand why this unit is THE MOST popular mfx unit sold.

Just got my Floor today.

Already had a Mustang III v2 so already half way sold on the modelling.

Bought the floor as an easy lite weight back up for the Stang Amp and significant other (valve) gigging amp.

Had Pods in the past (gigged with them for many a year) but had been completely turned off these types of floor units 1 because I prefer an amp behind me 2 the endless fiddle factor!! Not to mention the weak modelling in some of the amps - which I wanted to use.

OK its new so its shiney but this unit I would be 100% confident to use as a back up in a gig. Hell I would be happy to use in a gig full stop. Fender have just got this so right - well done.

Its got less Amps and missing some useful FX i.e. Ranger Pedal - but the modelling sounds the same so suerly this is not a V1 but more of a highbred between V1 and V2?

Scott-UK just confirmed what my ears were telling me about the amp modelling in another thread. They are the same.

My son just bought me the Mustang Floor for my birthday and I love the thing. I have a very bad back and can not be moving a heavy amp around with the floor I can move it easily and run it through a old Roland Cube 60. For Church I just run it through the P.A.. I spent 2 hours with it last night going through all the presets and even made a few of my own. I wish they would have had something like this back in the early 70's HAHA.

I love my MF.

It fits almost every niche of music in my head.

Except...

I feel like on my Drop B guitar it lacks a certain "metal" type distortion.

I'm thinking I might have to buy a BOSS Metal Zone or whatever to just supplement the MF.

But yeah, I agree, the MF is really phenomenal for what it is, does, and costs.
