Hi,

Can someone explain to my how to connect my mustang floor via USB to cubase.
I got a saffire pro 26 soundcard. I can choose instead ASIO4ALL as asio driver, and choose mustang floor in the settings, but then I can't playback sound at all (except the mustang floor sound I guess somehow).

Anybody who can help me?

Thanks

Hi MrPicker,

We are happy to assist. I have linked a Fender® Knowledgebase article below that walks you through the set up process for the Fender Universal ASIO driver. If you prefer, you can use the ASIO4ALL driver. But we have just updated our ASIO driver, and it should work well with ASIO compatible applications.

You will want to make sure that you do not have any other applications that are open at the same time as Cubase and using the specific audio output that you would like to use for Cubase. Please check out the article linked below. And let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

Thanks!

I downloaded Universal asio and now I can choose mustang as input and my soundcard as outpot, so now it works!

Still one problem though: problems with latency, even though I have pulled the ruler (is it the right word for it? :S) in the asio settings as far to the left I can to reduce latency. I have a screenshot of this but I find no function to insert images from my computer here?

Any ideas how I can get rid of the latency?

Thanks!

Ah! Now I figured there are 2 rulers for asio buffer size, one for my soundcard and one for the mustang! This may solve the problem! No idea how many samples I should choose though :S

Hi MrPicker,

I'm glad that you were able to get the Fender® Universal ASIO driver installed and set up. In terms of buffer settings, the general rule is to go for the lowest buffer setting that your PC can perform correctly with. So, you may want to start out at a 256ms. buffer. Then if you are hearing clicks and/or pops, you could move up to a 512ms. buffer. Then you could experiment from there (up or down). The lower you can go with the buffer, the lower the latency (audible delay) will be when you are monitoring audio through software.

I hope that helps. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan
